Experience of college life

The admission process was very smooth, the dates for cap round were provided on time. The reason for preferring this college. The campus environment is very active. All the teaching and non-teaching staff is supportive.

We have a wonderful team of faculty members and I feel blessed to be getting educated by such amazing teachers and not only do they teach very well but the also give us extra information and proper guidance. They also encourage us to participate in different competitions.

The college provides us with students opportunities to work with some extremely reputed companies thanks to their well- know tie-ups. They also provide different workshops and seminars to guide the students and prepare them for their future. There are also internship programs and expert talk programs that are conducted by different well-known experts in various fields.

From 6th Semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies visited are Accenture, Pipetech, Bitwise, Reliance, Media.net, Mu sigma, Fintellix, AWS, etc. Highest package is for Rs. 13 lakhs PA and avg package is for 7 lakhs PA.

I have opted for the IT department and top recruiting companies are Accenture, Pipetec, Reliance, Bitwise, Media.net, MU Sigma, Fintellix, AWS etc. Highest packages are 13 L PA and average Package is for 7L PA. The college also has a scholarship program to economically support the financially unstable as well as merit holders.

K J Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology has been taking part in Asia's biggest Robotics contest ABU Robocon since past 6 years. This robocop team comprises of different department and batches. In 2018 the team secured AIR 3 and first rank all over Mumbai. Also, the college has a team New Leap Initiative which is aiming to make a satellite of their own. Also, the Institute Innovation Council which conducts various activities. Apart from regular lectures, there are different activities going on in college. This includes the conjoint technical fest called RENAISSANCE which students from all departments participate. The sports fest named SCORE the cultural fest named SURGE. The student doesn't just have to concentrate on their studies and exams but they can also enjoy college life in participating in talent competitions and DRAMEBAAZ, etc.
