My college experience

The course structure is very good and inculcates practical knowledge and also includes knowledge of various subjects. It follows a traditional Semester system. You will have an elective subject in the third semester and the fourth semester will have a Field Project called the Management experience program.

The placement cell is very active but improvements can be made in this regard. Many different organisations tend to hire from KAU, including Agrichemical, Agricultural Management, Fertilizers etc. Many of my batchmates got hired in banking firms.

The fee structure at large is feasible and within the reach of a middle-class household. The Admission fee to be paid one time is Rs 5000, along with a refundable deposit of Rs 2500. The tuition fee, Exam fee and Special fee is Rs 25,000+ 1500+ 2650 per semester.

The student to teacher ratio is very good, and so is the sex ratio of the college. There are not many parties but the hostel students often gather and spend quality time together. The students are very inclusive and do not discriminate on any basis.

The hostel facility is very good. The infrastructure is excellent. The campus itself is very large and open, with lots of greenery. The hostel fee comes to around Rs 12,200 including a refundable of Rs 3000.

The admission criteria consist of your marks in the KMAT/ CMAT/ CAT score, and it carries 80% weightage. This is followed by a group discussion and a Personal interview carries 10% weightage respectively.

The faculty is very good and supportive. The course curriculum is very well designed. There are ample amount of Professors compared to the number of students and thus there is less load on the teachers as well as the students.
