Remarks

There is no negative about our college the name itself says uce, u come & enjoy as we named it. All infra structure, atmosphere, academics, co curicular activities all are inovative and usefull. All by college is awesome. There is no negative about college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Polymer engineering is the special course we are having there. Which is mainly authentically iconic course as well. Only 3 colleges in kerala provide this course & having major opening in many mnc company after this course. Exam & labs were upto well. We will get a correct dimension on course by labs & well. Our course mainly focused on rubber, tyre, paint, plastic as well field.

Placement Experience

There are many placements & job oppurtunities after studying polymer engineering. what we all need to prepare well & all such training will given by our faculty. Many mnc including sheenlac paints, asian paints & all coming regularly and lyca plastics, jindal poly films are also taking students from here

College Events

Technical event mainly hesperos is conducted in even years. In which alumini & scientist from all part of world are joined & sections will be there. Hesperos is mainly for polymer students which is a big event in which all part of world enterprenuers & mnc s joined together as well. As part of cultural we are having arts, sports, tech fest, valentines day all fest are celebrated yearly & final year day, freshers day as well.

All alumni are very helpfull. we all having touch with them always. They are friendly and helpfull. If any opening or vacancy found they do informed as earlier. Actually i got job by my senior as well. We all having interaction & strong contact in social network groups as well.

Admission

Actually i got admission by kerala entrance exam. Which was tight competition as well. I do prepared well and manage to score descent in it. At first allotment i havnt got in our college later in second allotment i got which is my turning point.

Faculty

I have no words to say about faculty which we are having such a helping people they are. They are just like friends to us & as family. They are truely helpfull & by them we all can reach in higher position because as such training they are giving to us. They are all highly qualified teachers many having doctorate as well.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.
