My college is a good one. I hold high regards for it as it provided me with a wonderful opportunity to grow myself. The management was good and cooperative.
Entrance Preview
HSC exam scored 78%. It is one of the better and prestigious college in gujarat which was reputed for its campus placement. No entrance exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
There were 8 semester over the span of 4 years with 2 demisters every year. There were general subjects in the first year like engineering drawing,basics of mechanical engineering,civil engineering along with electrical engineering and the remaining three years had detailed electrical subjects.
Internships Opportunities
College internship practive was not prevalent during my days but I had summer training at one of the thermal power plant in ahmedabad but that was without stipend.
Placement Experience
There were lot of companies that came during my last year. There were variety of companies from IT field to mechanical to electrical. Wipro offered 4 lakhs,tcs 3.7 lakhs,MBT 4 lakhs,Bombardier 3 lakhs.
College Events
College hosted lot of events which covered technical,entertainment and cultural aspects. Techfest imaze were technical events where students from near by colleges were also invited.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees were depending on what seat students gets admission through. On free seat the fees were very less 2500 inr per year. Where as that on payments seat was 40000 inr a year.
Fees and Financial Aid
There were no facilities available for availing scholarship. Also the loan facility was not there. Students parents had to be financially stable to provide the fees.
Campus Life
College life experience is a once in a life time experience for any student. It provides an excellent platform to develop ones personality at every front. There are bunch of things where students can expose onself to. In the college there would be debate competition which can be used to improve ones commu nication skill also there are many sport competition.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure and mess facility was of very basiuc level and at times the toilet and bathrooms were not maintained properly but staying with friends made us bother a little about the facility.
Alumni/Alumna
While I was junior during first year had a very limited experience in interacting with seniors. But with whatever limited experience it was very informative and useful.
Exam Structure
Exams were too frequent. There were two internals and one final exam and almost everyday there was at least one lab practical class. But it was not that hectic as the timing was well managed.
Faculty
There were variety of faculty in the electrical stream. There were professors from IITs,lecturers from other colleges and assistant lecturers recently passed from same college.
