Remarks

Overall good college for degree specially for its good placement ration. Only slight bit of improvisation scope with regards to labs, library, some staff, post graduate studies support needs to be improvised a lot. Placements can still yield better opportunities if streamlined for students branch/specialization wise.

Entrance Preview

No specific entrance, Admitted on PCM Group ( Physics, Chemistry, Maths ) Score of H.S.C. Exam. Couldn't get into first two rounds but made it in third round.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is affiliated to Mumbai University so defined by Mumbai University. It has 3 main sub branches Design, Production, Thermal Engineering & courses for three are evenly divided over 8 semesters with all mandatory subjects but just for 2 electives in final semester.

Internships Opportunities

No Internship as such. Thereby no companies come for interviewing students for within the term/semester internship. However final two semesters students have freedom of choosing a project within any of the companies but college assists the least in this.

Placement Experience

Placements are good. However All streams are exposed to all category of companies For e.g. Mechanical & Civil Engineers are getting placed to I.T. industry. Placement is not channelled and narrowed to stream specific.

College Events

Technical fests occur once every year once. So also cultural fests occur once every year. However it isn't all that very enthusiastic happening thing.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Slightly expensive for lower middle/middle class but still marginally manageable. But fees paid are not worth the facilities provided. Labs & its instruments can be better.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hardly any scholarships or funding agencies were entertained. Mostly it used to be self sponsored education for almost every student.

Campus Life

As mentioned in earlier sections campus life was kind of ok neither so great nor so bad. Cultural & Technical fests were organized only once in a year. Labs can really be better so can the library be.

Hostel Facilities

No hostel facilities were available at our time. Am not sure about now but I guess its still the same outside students need to manage their accommodation on their own.

External Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni meet had happened only once or twice after passing out within 8 years there on. 1 I attended but the response was dull so another I dint attend.

Exam Structure

Exams were Semester pattern being bound to Mumbai University and hence in accordance with its structure. Students used to get preparation leave before exams commencement so it was lesser hectic.

Faculty associated specifically with Mechanical Engineering was overall good but for Production. Design & Thermal Engineering Faculty was good enough.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

Placement of this college is average, average package is 4.5 lpa most of the students are eligible from semester 7 The companies like Capgemini, Accenture, mind space, LTI, siemens, eclerx ,etc visited to college campus. In recent mind space give place about 12 lpa. Placement percentage is 80 percentage After getting degree my plan is for higher studies.

The moderate college of engineering in pune , with moderate fees and good environment.

Placement Experience:

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

i had seen Companies visiting like Entrata, Airtel, Honeywell etc..... Highest package till now for currently year is 15 lacks. I had also seen students who are doing interships and are placed there only.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Datta meghe is moderate tier 3 college, i choose this college because it is near my home and my cousin also studied from this college it is good . I am trying for VIT Mumbai which my aim to get but cut off of this college is high. REALITY OF Datta Meghe College of Engineering

I got this college through Mhtcet exam, and yes I opted for other college too but the cutoff for branch i wanted was too high in other college so i had to take admission in DMCE. talking about the admission process you can take admission through 2 ways: Official goverment rounds or management rounds. Majority of students take admission from cap round which accepts both Mhtcet and JEE examination. 90% of students get admission by Mhtcet exam. Cutoff depends on the branch but it ranges from 50-95 percentile in cet exams. overall the admission process is not too easy neither too hard....Read More

i have applied for many ot the colleges like somaiya, vjti, dy patil but my percectile was no that good for those colleges thats why i choose datta meghe college and my travelling time also becomes less my admission process was they basically look for your cet and java percentile the candidatemust have passed class 12 with subjects like phy chem and maths for direct second yr admission candidate should have a diploma in enginnering or technology with a minimum of 45% admission process is step 1: apply for mht cet or jee main.step2: appear for the exam.step3:after the exam results ,participate in the centralized admission by the Directorate of technical education maharashtra. step4: for mht cet ,based on the rank and preferences the DTE college will allot seats in various eng collegs including datta meghe college step 5: after seat allotmnet candidates need to verify documents and pay the admission fees to cinfirm the seat...Read More
