An institution with outstanding research facilities

IITRAM is a state government-driven university by Gujarat Government. The management of the institution is superb and most of the higher authorities in GOG regularly visit the institution for monitoring the ongoing activities. The several ranking agencies put this institute equivalent to NITs.

The examination pattern for Ph.D. entrance is based on GATE. For UG, admission is based on JEE Mains. The institute has an industry-driven curriculum as many industries have signed MOU with the institution. The institute is Simen's Centre of Excellence. Its aerospace engineering laboratory is monitored by ISRO Ahmedabad and IIT Bombay.

The institution has a good track record of placement in several industries such as Torrent Power, Adani Infrastructure, ISRO, Maruti, and many more. But most of the students prefer higher studies and they are either doing M. Tech or MBA from reputed institutions across the globe.

Eunoia, Arean, and other clubs specific events open to all. The participants in such events come not only from Gujarat but also from other Indian states. Ta special mention for Hackathon. The government of Gujarat organizes Hackathon every year and IITRAM is the prime institution to hold this event in Gujarat.

As I'm pursuing Ph. D. I pay 21000 semesters as a tuition fee. The institution has a full proof system as it has its own MIS (Management Information System) accessible by each student with their individual ids and passwords. There are no additional charges. We have to pay as per the pay slip generated automatically in MIS.

I get an institution stipend for my Ph.D. program. I get 28000 per month. I don't have any idea about any scholarship program or education loan.

The boy's girl's rato is 75:25. As the institution has only core engineering branches i.e. Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical, the number of girl students is quite low as compared to the boys. Around half of the students are from Gujarat and the rest are from other states like UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Odisha.

No. I didn't opt for the hostel. But I have little idea about it. The institute has a separate hostel for 1st years and 2nd 3rd and 4th years students hostel is combined but far away from the institution. The girl's hostel is combined with the 1st year boys' hostel located very nearer to the institution.

Most of them passed out students have respect for the institution and they regard well the institution's approach in carving them into a successful person.

I wanted to pursue Ph. D. I saw the admission notification in the newspaper and filled form. The institute asks for no application fee. Therefore, I applied. I was shortlisted and called for a written test and interview. I cleared the written examination and also cracked the interview. Thus I took admission to the IITRAM.

Most of the faculties are from reputed institutions across the globe. They all are PhDs and Post Docs. Young and dynamic with an average of 35-38 years in the age, having unique pedagogy. The average number of classes in a semester is around 35-40 lectures per subject. They allow you to do industry-oriented projects during the semester coursework.
