Remarks

The college is mainly focused on academics and placements. It provides a large opportunities for placements as many well known companies visit the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course Curriculum is completely relevant & fair in context of academics and placements. There area few courses that are specially designed for industry grooming and placements. The college as German as compulsory foreign language as a course. This helps to stand out from other students in placements. It is very useful. College also organises industrial visits. Recently we visited the coach factory. It was a good experience.

Placement Experience

4

A wide range of companies have visited the campus for placements. Some of the well known companies are Hyundai, TCS, Amazon, Cognizant, L&T, mindtree, Indian Navy, etc. The student should have a cgpa more than 7 to apply for the placements. He should not have more than 2 backlogs. Every year almost 80-90% students are placed in the campus placements. Some are even placed in more than 2 companies. The college takes regularly CRT classes. Every semester it provides a week long workshop on CRT. The college plays a vital role in placements. The college as even collaborated with online platforms like Reference Globe, Codetantra, Cocubes for CRT tests training.

College Events

1.5

Every college celebrates a event. Like the technical and cultural festivals. Freshers and Farewells are conducted each year for better interactions with seniors. This is conducted in a large scale. Where students spend weeks for the planning and make it successful.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fees is 75,000 for management students. While for the students who are admitted via counselling get concession depending on their caste & merit list. Additions fees of 5000 is there for library and gym. The college acccepts the fees in cash, dd, and online payments. The college is very clear about all its fees structure. You can even pay the fees in 2 instalments

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven’t got any scholarships as I’m a management student. And I haven’t applied for any educational loan too. But students of Lower caste get fees waived from 50% to 100%. So it is really helpful for those students.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is good as the interaction with the faculties is fun. The college ground is open after college for the students for their exercise. The gym is also open in the morning and evening with a trainer. There are workshops in the campus like engineering and electrical workshops. The gender ratio is almost equal in all courses except that of Mechanical Engineering because many girls don’t prefer this course. The college has a zero tolerance policy for ragging. Since my past 3 years in the college not a single ragging case has come up. The interaction with seniors is positive and they are very helpful.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There is a college hostel. But I live in private hostels. As I learned from my friends that it is good and well maintained. They also said me the quality of food is excellent. The rooms are well equipped with hygiene washrooms and well ventilated.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are really helpful as they all are well settled from the companies they were placed via college placements. They really helped us in our 3 years of college life with them. There is positive interaction with the seniors. There’s even Alumni every year arranged by the college where the students interact with them and get to learn their experience.

Admission

I opted for Mechanical Engineering as it is a core branch which later on gives me wide scope if I plan to study further for MTech or MS. I choose MRCET because it comes the top colleges of Telangana. It has good placement records. It has a good campus. This institution is mainly focused on academics & placements. You can either give the TS-EAMCET for admission via counselling or try management seats.

Faculty

3.5

There are around 60-70 faculties in my course of mechanical engineering. The average age of the faculty is somewhere between 35-40. Almost all the faculties are Phd holders or are pursuing their phd. Some have even published papers in international journals. The faculties are capable of handling tough subjects and explaining the students in a simple way. All the teachers have a wide experience in teaching. They have also some industry experience which helps the students.

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for campus placements around the beginning of their final year (typically the 7th semester for a B.Tech course). Many companies do visit the campus for recruitment. Some of the names mentioned in reviews include Amazon, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Sutherland, HSBC, SAP, and Wipro. It's hard to say the exact number of offers made each year, as this can vary. However, reports suggest that a good number of students do get placed. In 2024, one report mentioned 2000+ students were placed from the overall batchs. Details on the highest and average packages can vary based on the source and the year. The highest package reported for 2024 seems to be around ?44 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum), with some sources mentioning it reaching up to ?40 LPA in rare cases. One specific placement in Amazon was reported at ?44 LPA. The average package is generally cited as being in the range of ?4.3 LPA to ?4.5 LPA. Some reviews give slightly different figures, so it's good to consider this as an approximate range. Specific company-wise package details for 2024 show offers from companies like Amazon (?44 LPA), Mentor Graphics (?20 LPA), and many others ranging from ?6 LPA to ?10 LPA. Profiles offered would vary depending on the company and your branch. The percentage of students getting placements is also reported differently across sources. Some reviews suggest around 60% to 90% of students get placed. However, official placement reports might give a more precise figure. For the 2024 batch, one report mentioned 652 students placed out of the graduating batch.

Placement Experience:

Around 40% to 50% of students get placed in entire college. It is totally based on the skill of the student if students has very good skill training and placement officer also offers to apply for companies which only takes skilled students the college is totally computer science and only one section has ECE which is comparatively has less placements compared to other deparments since there is no computer science background this is the drawback for taking Electronics and Communication but if students are skilled in the Electronics backgroung Veda IIT which provides internship and job oppurtunities in VLSI and Embedded Systems but the student has to be a skilled person in the electronics subjects.
