Remarks

The process of college fee collection is should be improved, and also they have to create such IT networks through which students get all information about college in a single portal. About holidays, classes, suspended classes, form fillup dates, seminar details, and teachers details.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As I absorbed municipal college is one of the best colleges in Rourkela city. Their faculty members are very corporative for study and development, in my time exams are conducted yearly but now they conduct it as semister wise, it's help students to cover their courses easily. Exams are conducted in the presence of teachers with full security, CCTV camera also attached in every room. NCC training is also available in our college for those students who want to go in the defense line. Monthly and sometimes weakly tests are conducting by teachers.

Placement Experience

2.5

In the last session of our exam during January - Feb some company approaches us for placement like TCS, shopping malls, and some industries.

College Events

4.5

In municipal events and other curricular activities are held almost every week in different departments, seminars, fair well, cultural programs are held time to time, but especially yearly cultural program held in February which is big and full of joy, where college held competitions, dance, sports, drama, and many other events for 3 days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee payment is offline in our college, that's why sometimes management charges extra money for nothing. Even students can't able to get full access to fee-paying. Fee Mostly pay by students in yearly, and during form fill up for the exam also chargeable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes under a central government scheme we get yearly scholarships under NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS. Also, get a laptop by the state government for those who score 1st division. But college didn't provide any specific scholarships for students by their side.

Campus Life

4.5

As municipal college is a big college with its wide area in the heart of Rourkela, with garden, labs for experiments, community hall, meeting hall. Wide classrooms, gym, small canteen, but unfortunately there is no playground. There is a botanical garden also, different rooms for practicals, a staff room, an official workroom, examination hall. In our college gender ratio is almost the same, there is no quota for any gender, but ST /SC/OBC quota available.

Hostel Facilities

2

No, I never prefer hostel, but our college avail the facility of boys and girls separately, also there is the warden who takes care of students, with the capacity of 100/100 bed for each boys and girls, but there are no facilities of canteen but shortly they provide.

Alumni/Alumna

Some seniors are very corporative and helping nature, they taught us during college functions, some of them are an inspiration too. They treat us as friends and making hangout with us sometimes.

Admission

Fill up the form on sams Odisha site then we give our 10th 12th details, according to the marks govt selects the college as per college cutoff marks. It's a very good process for deserving candidates for deserving college. I chose a municipal college because in this college opportunity is wide and so many courses for career and also tough competition. This college especially famous for COMMERCE , Although it's very good for every course.

Faculty

4

Our faculty members are very corporative, each subject we get 2 teachers and for some subjects also 3 even. The tough as lessons such a way, that we understand the topics in depth. Practical, seminars, projects through this activity they give us brief details about each and every subject.
