College Review

Remarks :

There are no suggestions needed for improvement of anything or anyone. I hope that the faculty runs the same in the future era and send out the best in the field for betterment of the individual, faculty and nation together.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The exam pattern is good. We are also graded on the basis of our presentation given in front of professor and it is well set. We have internal exams which cover half of the syllabus and the remaining half along with the first half is asked in the external exams.

Placement Experience :

Generally for our field i.e public Health Nutrition there are no on campus placements although there are ample of opportunities outside the campus where we can grow ourselves. Also as stated above, we got to do few work with foundation like Deepak Foundation and Aatapi Foundation.

College Events :

Garba night, Youth festival, Kite festival, Holi celebration, Spectrum fiesta i.e fun fair, Freshers, Farewell, The youth festival has many events such as drawing, quiz competition, dancing, clasical singing, light music, instrument playing both classical and western, treasure hunt, and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is very reasonable and affordable to even the lower middle class. There are some expenses like notes, projects, etc. But overall the prices are really really low as it is a government university. We also have scholarship for economically backward classes in which the students get the full paid fees back.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have not opted for any scholarships or education loans yet but if needed I would definitely look forward to it.

Campus Life :

We as a home science faculty do not have much boys in the faculty. But still the performance is outstanding. Be it our teachers, students, other supporting members, everyone parts in making the faculty to yield best ones in the field.there is no place for ragging.

Alumni/Alumna :

We are really grateful for our alumnus aa they are very helpful to us and the faculty as well. The alumnus have played an important role in rebuilding the trust in the department of the faculty.

Admission :

I filled an online application for the course of bsc home science which had different specialization areas from 2nd year. In first year we were taught subjects from all the areas and then according to the merit rank we would enter the specialization area if the seats are still vacant.

Faculty :

Our faculty is actually good. Even we got the opportunity to work with a few organization working towards the Health of the community. The teaching faculty is irreplaceable. They are very apt and have a very good field and teaching experience. They also guide us aa to how to get things started if we stuck on them.

Placement Experience:

Last semester students are eligible for campus placements. Abundant of companies visit Uka Tarsadia University that are mentioned on its official Website. Highest package is 10Lpa and minimum is 2Lpa. Placement rate depends upon the department of course for example, BSc IT has 100% placement rate. I'll surely go for research purposes after my post graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is excellent in every way! The course, which I did was of Life Sciences, and it's curriculum was absolutely wonderful! The syllabus had been designed such that it perfectly aligned with the syllabus of various exams, such as CSIR, GATE etc. And also, for the end semester dissertation, our university allowed us to pursue it from any other institute or university if we wish to, and encouraged us to do so. And because of that I did my dissertation research from SLS, JNU, in cancer biology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is in fact meticulously designed for students to take them through everything, every topic in an explicit way. All the topics are designed to build a strong academic character for every student. Although it's limited and some topics such as plasma were never covered.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of my course is specifically made to look at the field of food technology in the direction of forensic science making it unique. The course comes with a specialisation of forensic food analysis which prepares us to bring the world safer food. With the availability and hands on training of analytical instruments, the curriculum prepares the students better for real-time applications and makes it more interesting to dvelve into the field of research. Exams are conducted regularly which include all kinds of activities rather than just the theoretical writing. The difficulty level of examinations in my experience is significantly moderate. 4 sets of examinations are conducted per semester including the end semester examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is really good and balanced. Some other topics have been added now. Sports psychology and military psychology are also in the consideration to add up on the curriculum. Rest theoretical knowledge of various brain imaging techniques and also the complete anatomy of brain and nervous system is introduced here. Availablity of EEG machine, fNIRS and Neurofeedback make the course more fascinating and convincing to opt.

Placement Experience:

Students from the last semester or last year are eligible for the campus placement. Companies like L&T, sun pharma, Tata, Bajaj etc used to participate in the campus placement. The highest package is about 15 lacs per annum. And the average package is about 2 -3 lacs per annum. If I talk about the percentage of students getting placement is more than 50%. My plans after getting the degree are to start up my own business.

Remarks:

I have already written everything I know and I feel good or bad for my college above. But a positive remark is that environment is very good, it is my fifth year in this college and I haven't seen any ragging conducted by the students. And the negative remark would be the politics, student's are focusing more on the political activity than on studies and encouraging students from outside of the college to enter the college premises. Strict checking of ID cards should be conducted each and every day and if a student is caught without an ID card strict actions must be taken.
