Remarks
No changes needed. Faculty weee doing their job according to Mumbai University rules and regulations.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was decided by Mumbai University rules and regulations. It was theoretical with old topics and technology and less practical oriented. Exams were conducted every 6 months with practical and theoretical. You need to clear both to pass otherwise ATKT.
Placement Experience
College didn't provided any Internship program during our time. Placement of the college was not upto the mark with low ratio(number of student per job) being less. Also, few companies used to visit the college. We need to go to K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering for placement session. Most of the companies were software based and hardly any core companies.
College Events
There were two major festivals in our college namely Surge which is Cultural/Techinal festival and Score which is Sports festival. Surge was conducted in Summer around February and March while Score was conducted in Winter during December. Surge was huge festival with Social Media celebrities being the guest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure was similar to any Mumbai University engineering colleges. They were expensive compared to services they were providing. All Engineering college fees are expensive with min. 15% increament every year. They need to lower the expense and provide better service.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since I belong to Jain, there was Minority Scholarship declared by Mumbai University rules and regulations. A fix amount of 25,000 rupees were given to all the minorities who have applied for the scholarship.
Campus Life
Gender ratio was unequal being Engineering as stream. The girls ratio was less compare to boys. However, they were treated equally and there were security team/group for girls. College used to conduct robotics competition during college festival and there was seperate team for robotics which used to participate in inter College competition too.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network was good and they used to visit frequently. Thry used to participate ij our college festival and were helpful too.
Admission
The admission process in KJSIEIT is based on merit. It depends on Maharashtra CET entrance exams score which is held after 12th HSC science board exam. The results were declared in May with CAP rounds conducted. There were minority quotas in the college too.
Faculty
Most of the professor in our college were M.E. (Master's degree in Engineering) while few had Phd. Their teaching was based on Mumbai University rules and regulations with more theoretical approach. There were 1hr lecture of every subject and 1 hrs of practical session.
