Remarks
My experience was pretty regular. Nothing to write home about. But nothing bad either. It's a good college.
Entrance Preview
No entrance exams. I studied Diploma after 10th. After clearing the exams, there was a common admission round in Aurangabad where based on merit (I'm from General Category) I was given choices of colleges. I selected Bharati Vidyapeeth.
Course Curriculum Overview
I studied Electronics and Telecommunications.
Internships Opportunities
We got companies primarily from the local electronics and telecommunications industry. There were a few representations from the top companies as well. A bit less compared to the sort of companies you'd expect at colleges like VESIT .
Placement Experience
The top 5% to 10% are the ones that were usually offered jobs. Again, the companies were mostly from the local electronics and telecommunications industry. I think when I passed out from the college back in 2000, a salary of 1.8Lacs was considered good enough for Campus Placement.
College Events
Don't remember the names now. We did have annual events from each department. We were also encouraged to go and find sponsors to cover the event costs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
At least in my days fees seemed okay. I paid 20k per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Not sure about any scholarships that were offered. Do not recall seeing anyany ads too about it. Things may be different now.
Campus Life
Gender Ratio in engineering colleges is pretty imbalanced. Even today, i doubt if girls would make 50% of the class strength. In my class I believe we had 15 or so girls in our class of nearly 70.
Hostel Facilities
There was no hostel facility at least at that time. The hotel is very near to Kharghar station and close to Panvel and Belapur. So one can easily find PG accommodations in and around the college area.
Alumni/Alumna
College atmosphere was pretty good. No ragging incidents. Seniors were pretty approachable and through various programs and activities, they interact with their juniors quite often.
Exam Structure
Internal exams and labs were pretty okay. Yes during the exam schedule things will be a bit hectic. However that's to be expected. The amount of exams and labs one has to complete to earn the required credits were pretty much standard.
Faculty
The faculties were experienced enough to teach the subject matter. The college is also equipped with Labs.
