Entrance Preview

Admission was basis on XII board Exam. Got 83 PCM (Physics Chemistry Maths Avg.)wanted a pune college. This was the best college and course i could get on these marks.

Internships Opportunities

The course don't have internship offered. Electronics companies are hardly interested in college pass out freshers . The companies don't generally come to college on their on as the curriculum in much theory oriented.

Placement Experience

Bajaj, Infosys, TCS came for placement. the placement was low. Bajaj selected 5 guys out of 60. Tcs and Infosys just got one guy.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was flexible 16 K per year . Which was 10 K tuition fees. 6 thousand stationary. 10 K tuition fees since i was under OBC category. It was different fee structure for different cast category.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't availed load facility . Once can get Bank loan to pay college fees. The college don't have any scholarship as such .

Campus Life

Gender ratios : 30% F - 70% MRobotics - wired and wireless robots picks up ball and drop in socket, push other robot out of ring, strength competition. No Hostel for boysTechnical Workshops : like C language, Technical paper writing competition As college is in pune it is always Brahmin and non Brahmin seperation

Hostel Facilities

The college has only girl hostel available. For boys they had to manage on their own. It was 800/- per month per bed for a rental student room .For mess it was same 800/- per month.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

It was a good communication for electronics alumni . They used to come for electronics events. Always ready to help you for the next step out of college. senior were eager to tell about the world out side of college.

Faculty

The faculty was good but much theory oriented . The teachers were experienced person but less industrial experience. The teachers were helping in nature. always ready to solve educational queries .

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process...Read More

Reviewing the journey up till now !!

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam. I gave JEE and scored decent enough to fit the remaining 20% JEE based intakes in AISSMS COE. I am interested in the fiend I chose and look forward to explore myself within it....Read More
