Remarks

Positive remark. Good college, highly experienced teachers, reasonable fees, sports facilities, Nss, Ncc, Youth red cross, parking, canteen facility, good lab, ground. Negative remark. Infrastructure could be improved

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

My course is very good. I was looking for a course which doesn't have mathematics in it. So I'm happy with my course. We have regular labs and 1st two years. We don't feel hectic but final year. Extra 3 labs are added. So making a total of 6 labs a week. So days feel a bit hectic during final year.

Placement Experience

4.5

There is placement cell and internship in my college. This year I'm gonna participate in placement. They regularly conduct seminars related to placement and things related to careers. I have seen many companies coming to our college for campus interviews.

College Events

4.5

They conduct every fest's in our college. You can expect a function every week. Each committee conduct a function. For example science students make functions on there theme and so do commerce steam students. Cultural programs, social events like blood donation and awareness programs, rallies and everyone are allowed to participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For Bsc courses the fees start from around 15, 000 a year to 40, 000. On the basis of caste and income certificates there is a concission on fees and if economically weak they can pay fee in installments also. For commerce courses fee start from 40, 000.

Fees and Financial Aid

Karnataka Government scholarship. Our college Alumini group gives scholarship for good percentage holders and economically weaker section of people. I have not applied to any scholarships. My friends every year get scholarship from Karnataka government.

Campus Life

4

There are all the sports or games you can play. Mostly everyone plays cricket, basket ball, volley ball, shuttle etc. I think gender ratio is equal. In some classes it varies. There is good tolerance towards students of other religion. In fact nobody speaks about religion and other things all are happy together. Students of all the economic section can be seen. There is Ncc, NSs, red cross.

Hostel Facilities

4

5000 for hostel. 3/2 bed in every room 1 cup-board 1table and single bed. 5 bathroom for all. There is 5 hostel of this college 1 in the campus and others 5min walking distance from campus and if there is few seats college pg is also available

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very good and helpful. The Alumni network is helping weaker students finally. Every year alumni event is organized during which they contribute something for college students and mainly help students.

Admission

I had first class result and I went as son as I got the result so my admission was quick and easy. Anyone can get admission if they have 1st class result. But now Mark's needed for different courses varies. They give admission by taking interview and merit list.

Faculty

5

All the lecturers are well qualified and one of the best infact. They are very supportive not only in studies but teachers understand our problems and give us guidance. I'm from science course. All the teachers in my course are best.

I would like to tell that syllabus and curriculum they have is student friendly and doesn't give much pressure or torcher to students. Even this follows in the labs where labs are well equipped. I feel a bit less focus on industrial applications

Placement Experience:

We do have campus placements in our college. From 5th sem everybody is eligible to appear for campus placements. As far as I know there were Walmart,Paycheck, aceture, sony and many more. Almost about 30 to 50 students from each department get selected in placements. Not really sure about the percentage but somewhere in 60/100. My plans after the degree is to clear SSB or do my MCA .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Postives: - 3 major subjects covered within 3 years. - Options to add other preffered subject along with the main course. - Ability to divert to another field for Master's. Negatives: - Less time of study reduces the level of knowledge in each of the 3 individual subjects. - Bad combinations that have no relation to the other subjects. Summary: The course very well prepares us for the real world and further higher academic pursuits. Reducing the subjects to a dual major would be better for in depth study or increasing the time period to 4 years would also be great. More of practicals would be nice as it provides more practice for real life scenarios. The exams are difficult but the notes provided by the teacher in class and online makes the learning experience so much better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum for BSc is simply the extended version of 11th and 12th standard portions in the first year. It includes the same concepts and the teaching method is rather ordinary and boring and doesn't seem to focus on making the students live the subject but is rather focussed on marks and other upcoming exams. A teacher kept insisting us to do certain problems skipping the others considering the factory that it is very important for a exam after UG. She also stated that everyone are most likely to take up teaching as a job after this which shows how narrow minded and shallow the opinions and minds of the teachers are. This amounts for a greater level of discouragement.
