Remarks

It was all good i fondly remember my alma mater and the college management was really praise worthy. We always saw a smile on each and every person in the manangement, ever ready to help the students.

Entrance Preview

MAHE entrance examination i had 501 rank i joined this college because it is one of the finest colleges for the study of medicine. The teachers professors take lots of efforts to teach and the practical part is truly praise worthy.

Internships Opportunities

Good, we gained a lot of practical knowledge during this period it is in this period we actually get a feel of being a doctor stipend was low-3000/month.

Placement Experience

2.5

After finishing most of us go on to study for post graduation courses and not start practicing immediately. So I really didnt got placed immediately but studied extensively for my PG entrance.

College Events

4

Annual fest it used to be a blast all the batches would prepare various items like songs, dance, fashion show, annual sports week hand ball, tennis, badminton, volley ball, basket ball, athletics, ganesh chaturthi was celebrated with huge pomp and show.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure at the time i did my studies was 72,000/annum though it was a huge amount at that time, it was worth the quality of teaching we obtained present times, it is much higher.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

No i did not avail any scholarships and didnt even know if there any available so will not be able to write much about it.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was awesome we at that time did not have much intolerance issues people liked each other irrespective of the cultural backgrounds, castre, colour or relegion. We had healthy competitions time and gain in various fields.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels were neat it was a huge one, seven storied building my room was on fourth floor. The room was spacious with attached toilet and bath. I shared it with a senior. We had permanent concrete beds the mess food was tricky, Being a north Indian it took a lot of time to adjust to the south indian food. We were given treats every friday night and sunday lunch.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is now very strong thanks to the social media facebook and whatsapp have literally brought the world closer we are in regular touch and have made our batch groups where we keep posting our thoughts and accomplishments.

Exam Structure

Exams were hectic we had a lot of syllabus to cover practicals and viva voice were even harder it used to be a real hard work to get through exams.

Faculty

5

Wonderful teachers par-excellence what-ever i am today i owe it to them they had great zeal for teaching and really made us understand the subject well.

I wanted to purse u medicine as it was my dream and this made me choose MBBS and I wanted to become a doctor who can treat people as it is very noble profession The curriculum involves posting in associate hospitals which will bring plenty of experience to the students and help them to understand the subject better the course could be improved further by Ai and apps which will help us imagine the subject virtually Passing the exam might be difficult as many fail to do so so the exams are quite difficult to crack

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS course is one of the courses that require at most hard work and perseverance. I had an interest to study about the human body and see how the medical life would be and after joining the course I realised how hard the course is. But since I could in the end help at least one person and make his/her life easier, I'm still moving on with the course doing the best I can. I feel all the doctors preparing for this course should take the course seriously as the lives of people are in our hands and every little mistake would cost.

Reviewed on Jan 3, 2022(Enrolled 2020)

Course Curriculum Overview:

• I chose this course as I liked Biology very much in my 11th and 12th and I also wanted to be a doctor since my childhood. • Faculty:student ratio in this college is well maintained. There is 1 faculty member over 25 students. • All the faculty are well qualified and experts in their fields. Some of the professors are functioning as scientists for the university and have reserved some patents for their researches. The teaching methodology is also very good and according to the latest norms set by the university. • Every year you have to go through some college-level exams ( Internal Assessment) three times. And you must score at least 50% as aggregate in each subject to be eligible to give the final University Exams. All the exams taken are as per the latest Revised Scheme for evaluation set by the university. On average the difficulty of exams is high. Regular studies and consistency can make anyone pass the exams .

Positive - Our college is located at hill station surrounded by greeneries. As we don't have more seniors and PG students we get more chances to learn on clinicals side. Negative - Our college is in Coorg, as we know coorg is more expensive. We have to survive in extreme climate conditions. Our college is still under construction.

College management is like all other college managements. Passing the buck was the usual game. We knew who to approach for what by the end of the year. There also seemed to be camaraderie among staff and management at some level depending who the dean or the principal was.
