Remarks

100 percent attendance Highly-biased placement cell which kept all the best opportunities for themselves. Less focus on participation in extra curricular activities/events happening in other colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is generic for first year students comprising of subjects like : Basis of Accounting, Corporate Finance, Statistics, Operations Management, Information Technology, Marketing Management, Financial Accounting etc. The second year curriculum is highly specific to the specialization chosen (Operations, Finance, Marketing, HR). The curriculum is replete with Harvard B-School case studies identified as relevant by our professors, along with assignments which are completed by a working group of 5 people. There was a Bloomberg Finance Lab at our college specifically for Finance students. We had 2 internal tests following by a main exam across 6 trimesters. We had 100% attendance for both the years. The first year was relatively more hectic than second year.

Placement Experience

3.5

Our college provides both placements and internships. Our placement season started from August and lasted till March. There were a variety of companies that came to our college belonging to industries like - FMCG, IT, BPO, Market Research, E-commerce, Logistics, Banking, Consulting, and New-age start-ups. The companies that came for placement for our batch were ; Deloitte, Infosys, NIIT Tech,Snapdeal, ICICI, Pantaloons, IDEA, IFB, Wipro, Wipro Consumer Care, TCS,Fidelity, HCL, AppsDaily, HSBC, Wildcraft, Microsoft etc. Average package was 9 Lakhs p.a. The summer internship season placement started from August and lasted till January for first year students. The companies that came to our campus for the same were - Deloitte, Delmonte, HDFC, TATA Group, Perfette etc. Students also had an option to find their own summer internships. These internships were either paid or unpaid. The highest paid internship was Rs. 60,000 per month offered by Delmonte.

College Events

3.5

The different events celebrated in our college were : BrandScan - The biggest Market Research Event which comprised of real-time projects from brands like Amul, Bombay Stock Exchange, ICICI Bank, Durex etc. Atharva - This is our annual fest which comprises of different events around marketing, finance, consulting, quizzing; and is open for other B-schools to participate as well. It comprises of the famous Quiz on the Beach quiz event as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees was 1200000 for 2 years. This comprised of course and hostel fees. It was expensive considering the annual package was 9 lakhs. Major chunk of the batch had a salary package of 11 lakhs and lesser.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college had no provision for scholarship and loans. However, a lot of our batch-mates had taken student loans before joining the course with their parents. Other students' education was self-funded.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facilities were very basic. During our admission process, the students were given options of selecting 2 different types of rooms - Small Sharing and Large Sharing. The small sharing room was without AC and very small in size, the fee was Rs. 45000. The large room was spacious and comprised of AC, the fee was Rs. 55000. All of us had paid Rs. 1,00,000 for the room which was to be refunded later on, however they added ACs to all the rooms and hence set off the amount taken. There is a warden in every hostel which can be contacted for queries/help. The electricity bill is to split and paid by the students at the end of the semester.

Alumni/Alumna

TAPMI has a huge alumni network and most of the alumni are on LinkedIn. Also we have an Alumni Portal wherein every Alumni has a separate account maintained. The college also conducts Alumni meets every year in different cities so that alumni of different years can interact and network. The Alumni of the college are helpful and contactable via LinkedIn. They also keep posting job opportunities in their respective companies.

Admission

I wanted to pursue my MBA from one of the top 20 colleges in India. I was told about TAPMI by one of my peers, and I did a good amount of research on the college. I registered on their website to apply for the admission process, and paid a fee of Rs. 1500. Post application, I received my CAT Score basis which I was shortlisted for Group Discussion (GD). The GD was an elimination round, and if one cleared the same it was followed by a Personal Interview. The GD was moderated by TAPMI professors. I cleared by GD and sat for a Personal Interview (PI). The PI round was again taken by 3 TAPMI Professors and lasted for 45 minutes. The interview focused on : My professional experience, which stream will I chose during my MBA, and why did I chose MBA for my higher studies.

Faculty

4.5

Our faculty is highly specialized in their specific course. The faculty at our time was a veteran faculty at TAPMI with a min. work experience of 6 years. They were also active in representing their work and papers in esteemed universities outside India. The teachers We also had visiting faculty for courses like Digital Marketing, IT for Business, Six Sigma, who were highly accomplished professionals in those domains and also taught in colleges like MICA, IIMs, IITs.
