Tamilnadu Theological Seminary - An Overview

Tamilnadu Theological Seminary is top ranked college of Tamilnadu. It gives a positive attitude to mind and open our minds towards our social duties. I am having an enriching experience of soul and mind here. I love the campus and the library.

The course curriculum enriches our knowledge of Christianity and society. All the courses offer in-depth knowledge on the Christian Ministry. The exams are conducted on regular basis but they are very surreal and non hectic.

The four year B. D. course provide internship which helps in theological, ministerial as well as personal formation. The students form fellowship groups to help flow students ad get guidance. The well performing students may become bishops and pastors.

Cultural events are regularly conducted. There are events organised on festivals like Christmas, etc. There are dances, skits, choirs. I participate in a lot of them. The events are well decorated and the active participation of students increase the fun.

The course fee is quite feasible. My B.D. Course cost INR 11,000 per year which obviously is a very feasible charge compared to other colleges. The Masters Degree for the same is available at INR 25,000 for two years.

I have joined a fellowship group. Here fellow students try to help each and get guidance. The campus is free from intolerance towards any social aspect such as gender, sexual orientation , religion etc. The seminary has been actively participating in social and political issues in a peaceful yet impactful manner.

I live in Ambedkar Hostel. There are three more hostels. The hostels for boys and girls are separated and are built on the seminary grounds in the style of Indian village architecture. The hostels has all the basic amenities.

I am doing 4 years Bachelors of Divinity. My course required passing 12th as well as a recommendation from church to enroll in the college. Another 5 year course is there which requires passing 12th with 4 years of church experience.

The faculty of teachers is excellent. The teachers are highly qualified and competent. The teachers leave no stone unturned while imparting their vast knowledge of Christianity. My favourite is Rev. Dr. Rohan Gideon.
