Remarks

Tamilnadu theological seminary is recognised by University Grants Commission. It has an excellent academic record and counted as one of the top rated colleges in Tamilnadu. The excellent faculty, library and beautiful campus are its key features.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

There are UG courses(Bachelor Of Divinity (B.D), bachelor of  Christian studies) , PG courses( Master Of Theology (M.Th)), doctorate courses and external courses. The 1courses offer in-depth knowledge on the Christian Ministry.

Placement Experience

3.5

The four year B. D. course provide internship which helps in theological, ministerial as well as personal formation. The college has given many pastors as well as bishops, both placed in and out of Tamilnadu.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fee is quite feasible. I did my 4 year Bachelor of Christian Studies course at INR 11,000 per year which obviously was a very feasible charge in present day inflated society. The Masters Degree was available at INR 25,000 for two years.

Campus Life

4.5

Regular events were conducted such as on Christmas. Tamilnadu theological seminary has been actively participating in social and political issues. Protests were raised against gender inequality or ill political agendas in peaceful manner. It is working with various national and international organisations.

Hostel Facilities

4

I lived in Dheenabandhu Andrews Hostel. There are three more hostels. The hostels for boys and girls were separated and are built in the seminary grounds in Indian village architecture. The hostels has all the basic amenities.

Admission

Admission method differs according to courses. My 4 year B. D. course required passing 12th as well as a recommendation from church. Another 5 year course is there which requires passing 12th with 4 years of church experience.

Faculty

5

The faculty of teachers was excellent. The teachers were highly qualified and competent. The teachers left no stone turned while imparting their vast knowledge of Christianity, especially Rev. Dr. Rohan Gideon.
