Sri Sathguru Sangeetha Vidyalayam is a music institute which trains the students in Indian music-vocal and instrumental. It is one of the music institute which runs under the Research Centre under Madurai Kamaraj University and it also offers the stream of students with Post graduate students can do full time and part-time Ph.D. Research in this institution. It provides Music in vocational training in Carnatic Music by a team of qualified teachers. The courses oriented fully to Music and Fine Arts are wholesome in themselves because the basic requirement of imparting knowledge in language is also taken care of and making the students better accomplished and talented. The college runs course which is purposeful, and provides self-employment and it is the only institution in Tamil Nadu teaching Bharathanatyam as an ancillary subject at degree level.
