I was very into designing from the last Covid time and really wanted to join 'National Institute of Design' or NID from my degree but i give the exam but haven't got selected in second round which was the studio test ,other than NIFT i also applied for UCEED and NATA basically architecture and design for both and also for JEE as I took PCM , but after the results NID doesn't have enough seats for general category and for architecture i was not sure as it was 5 years of course so I decided to opt for NIFT for bachelor of fashion technology qs it was new to me and i was really excited to explore this flied and I'm happy with the results and in academics im doin6 great taking equal oart in class assignments so overall i love this subject....Read More

Talking of my course it need pcm in 12th for eligibility to appear for the exam plus a good rank to get it into top 3 clgs , and about other colleges that i did apply for were pvt clgs so it doesnt make sence to go to pvt clg when u are getting into top 3rd clg in india , I did get accepted by a lot of clgs but i willingly choose this course...Read More

I have applied for NIFT,NID, UCEED, UID(private college). I was not serious for taking the entrance exam of NID and UCEED since it does not offer the course I wanted but anyway I gave the test just for the experience but I did not get in. UCEED was difficult for me as it was more mathematics-based. I got into a private college- UID since the fees structure is expensive and considering their curriculum, I was not interested also I got into NIFT as well so I chose NIFT over UID because why not. Admission process for NIFT- it has its own exam process. There are two rounds that students need to clear to get into NIFT 1st round - GAT( general ability test) CAT( creative ability test) GAT has questions related to general knowledge, current affairs, mathematics, and english. Total of 100 questions more weightage is on english and then maths. 2 hours. nift is on top in the list of fashion schools in india. alongside , i had also applied at NID ahmedabad but i did not get selected. i also applied for pearl academy in mumbai but they only provide a diploma degree which i did not want. the admissions process happens in 2 rounds, one is the aptitude test of 100 marks , which includes 70% of aptitude in drawing and 30% theory like quantitative analysis, logical reasoning and english comprehension. once you pass this round, there is round 2 called the situation test in which they provide material and a situation and you have to make a product . and once you clear that round, a merit list is announced and on the basis of your merit number, you get admission....Read More
