Good about my college is that everyone here has something to do and as everyone is busy in doing something good so we all get inspired from each other's work and improve the quality of our work.

I qualified the entrance examination organized by the college NIFT. I acquired rank 121 in OBC category and 983 in general. thereafter i attended counselling and got admitted. I opted this field of education because i wanted to do something related to designing and technology too. and this field is very different from others.

For the first two years, the course covers all the basic terms and requirements to study about garments, fashion and industries. it also includes knowledge of machines, human body structure, material sciences, fabric science, elements of technology, communication skills, introduction to art & design, human resource management, textile studies. in 3rd year we study actual industry environment.

Until now we have done only one internship for 14 days at Arvind mills, Ahmadabad. My internship was not stipened, but in industries like grasim pay stipen of Rs.5000/ month for internship we are free to choose industries on our own. This was my first internship and first opportunity to work in actual garment industry i experienced that only bookish knowledge is not enough to survive in real industrial environment.

Major events of our college are national fashion olympiad (NFO) which is open for all colleges, schools and other one is converge which is a fest for all the 15 centers of NIFT. apart from NFO and converge, weekly events are organized by the cultural, litrerary, sports and environmental clubs of our colleg on wednesday during zero hours.

Our fee structure includes tution fee-Rs.66,600/semester, mediclaim, student development fees, library fees and examination fees- Rs.8,800/year.this fee structure is for non NRI students. for NRI students tution fee is Rs.5,05,800/semester and other fees are Rs.50,100/year.

Our campus life is full of entertainment, fun and is also very knowledgeable. Gender ratio of our college is about 50/50 hostel and college parties are always fun. This all is just because our director sir is so nice and so much caring to us.

Hostel facilities and mess food facilities may differ for different centers if college hostel rooms are proper spacious and shared by 2. mess food is decided by the hostel committee i.e. made by the students of hostel. mess food is also available for non hostelers.

Alumni network and senior students are always available to everyone so easily because regular visits from alumnis are very helpful and exploring for us. alumnis are regularly in touch of us and if not then our faculties. and if any center don't have senior batch available then we have contacts at the other centers. as in our case, we are the first batch of b.f.tech from NIFT, Patna so we don't have seniors but we do have contacts from our batchmates and seniors of others centers. they are always helpful.

Exams are not that frequent, in one semester of 6 months we have two assignments one mid term and then end term exams and juries. in b.f.tech department everyone is always chilled out for assignments and exams but it is not applicable for rest of departments.

Most of our faculties have done PhD. we also have some guest faculties. Faculties are also from industrial background.some of our faculties are also alumunis. for the better exposure faculties and aluminis visit us and share our experiences. Faculties are so co operative and keep us updating from the recent advancements.
