NIFT was ranked no.6 out of 32 colleges by INDIA TODAY in 2019 for fashion designing and No.9 out of 16 by THE WEEK in 2019 in fashion technology. The main reason behind this success is the faculty members who are working really hard.
Course Curriculum Overview
B.F.Tech is a 4 years on campus degree program. They have only one specialization in this course i.e, Apparel production. Students will get to know about many things like consumer/market demand during various opportunities provided by the institute.
Placement Experience
The placements are really good here as some companies comes with great packages and some comes with average package. The recruiting companies also provides a 6 months of training to the freshers along with stipend. Some frequent recruiters are BOMBAY DYEING and TATA INTERNATIONAL.
College Events
NIFT celebrates many cultural and other events every year. The participation in these events are on a huge scale. They celebrate many major events like Republic day, Independence day, Convocation day, Graduation Ceremony, Fashion show any many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very much expensive as compared to other colleges. This college is charging Rs.11.09 lakhs for the whole course i.e, 4 years. The yearly fee for B.F.Tech in NIFT is rs. 2.71 lakhs in 1st year, rs. 2.64 lakhs in 2nd year, rs. 2.78 lakhs in 3rd year and rs. 2.96 lakhs in 4th year.
Campus Life
NIFT organize a project nae CRAFT CLUSTER PROJECT every year. Under this projects there are many events organized like fashion show, exhibitions, designing showcase etc. The participation is huge and these events are also visited by foreigners.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rates are also quite expensive as it charging Rs. 89,000 - 1,07,000 per year for both male and female. The difference between the rates is reffering to the bedding the students are opting for.
Admission
The admission criteria is simple. Candidate have to pass 12th from a recognized central/state board of education or 3-4 years of diploma in engineering field. Maximum age should be 23 years. The final selection will be based on the scores in GAT.
Faculty
This college have both full time and guest faculties for the college. The full time faculties are great at their parts. They are helpful even after the college hours also as they have provided their contact information on various platforms so that we can clear our queries with them anytime.
