Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

A COLLEGE WITH A GREAT POTENTIAL

I have gotten into this college through KCET as I had a rank of 28054. The OBC (2B) reservations greatly helped me in the admissions process. I don't wish to see any improvements as this already amazing college is quite new and in its stages of development and dominance, it has received a lot of suggestions and feedback that they have considered, applied, and implemented with the help of experts. This I believe will help it be listed among the top colleges of Karnataka....Read More

You can get the admission both online and also by visiting the college. I didn't get any reservation benefits. But if you are a SC/ST you will get fee concession . Admission process is very easy i got admission through K-CET , I selected some colleges according to my list and ranking they will allocate a college if we are not satisfy with the college we can attend the second round....Read More
