Course Curriculum Overview

Course of b.tech marine engineering course very good and is well managed. We will learn these subjects in our course Environmental studies and Technical Communication, electrical engineering, thermodynamics, language lab, Applied Thermodynamics, mechanical engineering, engineering physics and engineering chemistry, fluid mechanics, marine electronics, machine drawing , ship Technology, boilor etc . We have regular practical sessions which are very important are useful.

Placement Experience

We have good placement facilities, students get recruiter at top marine companies which come for campus placement. We get hired with good package. Job opportunities are vast after marine engineering. We get internships as well in these companies before getting finally recruited.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee of the B.tech course is little high. The fee which include admission fee, deposit, tution fee, library fee etc is around 145730, and additional of hostel,mess and various other charges at 79830. This is fee of Kerala student, for all India quota student and NRI quota fee are higher than this.

Campus Life

There are various extra curricular activities, like presentation, lectures, seminars, etc. We have good labs and practical classes and workshops. Gender ratio in our college is more of girls. We have students from all over India.

Hostel Facilities

This is a residential course, so we have hostel facilities in our college. We have all facilities available with good infrastructure. We have a hostel fee of about 29170, and mess fee of 6080. Shared rooms, study hall, play area and good food is served.

Admission

I got admission to the b.tech course based on cusat. I wrote entrance test and got admission to this course. One should be passed in the 10+2 examination from state of Kerala or any other examinations accepted as equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60% marks and atleast 50% marks in Mathematics alone. Should have passed English at 10th or 12th Standards with 50% marks.

Faculty

We have good faculty which are much experienced in teaching the course. They are very good at practicals as well as teaching theoretical classes. Faculties have good education background and vast experience in teaching the course. Faculties are very helpful to us.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I chose this college over other maritime institutes as this college has had a very high placement rate in the recent times.It's placement rate in the last year ie of 2023 batch was 100%.I did not apply to other maritime colleges i only applied to kmsme.The admission process in my college is first you have to write a exam called imu cet and you need to have a valid rank in that examination and you also need to apply for cusat cat examination these are the requirements required to apply to my college.The cutoff ranks vary every year.Every year the competition is getter tougher and tougher so you also need to have a good rank to get the admission.so i would suggest a rank below 5000k in imu cet will secure you a seat in kmsme.My overall admission experience was good in this college .The staff were very friendly and helped me in every step of the admission process and during the admission process they had conducted an induction class to talk to us about the course and discuss every aspects of the course to us...Read More
