Juhi Roy's Review On St. Xavier's College - [SXC], Ranchi

The college has a wide variety of cources with big campus and good faculty. The college it self takes an entrance exam in the month of june. Apart from this college gives yu an advantage if two shifts(morning and evening) .

3 year course including industrial visit at the end of the year. First year was simple which also included a language paper which was passing in nature. Apart from that time to time assigments kept the students buzy during the cource. There is a strict culture of attendance of 75%. If yu dont attend 75% of classes yu wont be allowed to write yur end semester.

There was no such internship kind of thing for my cource but yeah there was an internship for other cources in vocational. They had to do summer internship ever year .

Many get placed on the campus. Every year at the end of year many local as well as nationaly renowned companies come on campus. Wipro and infosis was big one among them. Apart from them many get placed in future group and big reliance.

Various college events are celebrated around the year. It can be counted as inter college cricket match, inter state football match. Apart from these my college is famous for annual festival in which many collge from near by states participate.

College fee structure is quite cheap if we compaired to other colleges of the state and it has also stood with the quality of education. I remember i completed by whole 3 years in around 15000.

There is a scholraship scheme for poor kids . Many of them have used this opportunity in their college. The college also provide intrest free loan to its student. College campus has a bank of itself which is easy to assess.

Its a good campus life. We have learnt new lot from this college. Its a way to go journey. A full personality transformation indeed. I participated in sports and quiz competion but painting and photography competion diuring annual fest were my favourite.

College has two mess with good quality food. I often had my breakfast over there as my college ended by 10. Talking about hostel facility, it only provides hotel facility to boys sadly. There is no girls hostel. Boys hostel is inside the campus itself. Unfortunety i havent been to boys hostel. Sorry, so cant make it in detail. I am sure it too must be affordable.

Senior students and pass outs are given reapect and are not seen as left out. We can go to college fests even after being passed out. Staff treat us very well and are concern about our career.

Exam structure is semester basis. There is a mid semester of 30 marks and then an end semester of 70 and finally both are added to get the end result. The result is calculated on GPA basis. Apart from this yu have too qualify 50% in honours papers.

There is a big basketball court, a huge computer lab, a library worth to see with varity of books. There is a living cum relaxing area for girls which also include bed, table chairs, notice boards and infact a television.
