Remarks

Our college was established in 1972, the name was given to honour Ram lakhan singh yadav, former education minister of undivided bihar. It is NAAC accredited institution. It is located in kokar which is a main location in ranchi.

Undergraduate, postgraduate, vocarional courses, Bcom, BA, B.sc. and postgraduate courses are master in arts, master in commerce, BBA, BCA are vocational courses available here. All the courses are designed in a well manner

Placement Experience

Placement cell is present in our college but it is not so active. Very few companies have visited till now. Students generally prepare for government exams like upsc, iit jam etc. No internships are provided by any company.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite feasible. The fee is very low as compared to other colleges located in the area. Also college provides scholarships for poor and reserved category students. Infrastructure of the college is good.

Campus Life

The games and sports incharge is Dr. SD Tirkey. Cultural activities are held frequently both for tribal as well as non tribal communities. The college also has a cultural committee. Campus cleanliness, blood donation camp, water harvesting awareness camps are also held.

Admission

I got admission in this college on the basis of merit. I took admission in bachelor of science program b.sc. in physics. Admission process is smooth. I had to submit intermediate passing certificate to complete the admission process.

Faculty

The faculty members are well expeeienced in their particular fields. They are always ready to help the students. Counsellings and doubt are organized by them for the benefit of students. They also help students to preparefor government exams.

I am chosen this course because mathematics is my strongest subject from all of the others that's why I can choose mathematics. Faculty member of our college is very supportive but some of the teachers are very rude behaviour. Our college teachers are very disciplined about teaching and any project work. My class have 250 students. Every semester our college takes mid sem exam then a viva exam, assignment on every paper, group discussion, surprise test. The exam pattern was based on their classes. The exam pattern is moderate most times.

The eligibility of this course:- Should pass in intermediate. I want to get admission to St Columbus college because it was located in my district Hazaribagh. It is a good reputed and oldest college in Jharkhand. But I had taken admitted to RLSY College because my father is also posted in Ranchi. I went to RLSY College with my all documents.
