Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is well laid out, with the provision for the students to acquire good knowledge of the subjects. The exams are of 100 marks per paper, and divided into an internal assessment and final exam, carrying 25 and 75 marks respectively. The minimum pass marks if 40%.

Placement Experience

2.5

For the Economics department, the college does not have any active placement cell as such, and internships are also not provided. But some of the students get good placements, while most other are selected at top universities for higher studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college provides a very affordable fees structure. For B.A. in Economics, our fees was Rs. 2000 per year. It was a three years' course, and the total fees paid was around Rs. 6000. However, examination fees are added to this course fees, although the exam fees are also quite negligible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our College provides various scholarships for SC/ST and backward classes Students. For the children of the College's teachers, there is also scholarship opportunity provided. For those who get high marks in college, there is also scholarship facility provided for them.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a very active alumni association. Our alumni association takes part in most of our college functions and programmes, starting from annual functions to convocation ceremonies. Our alumni association also provides for a number of academic prizes for the students each year.

Admission

Our college offers various graduation and post graduation courses, and admission is based on merit. The minimum criteria for admission is 50% marks in the boards (10+2) exam. I applied through online application after completing my boards exam. Offline application is also allowed. The date for starting of application is declared every year on the college website.

Faculty

4

The college, specially our economics department, has immensely qualified professors. All of our faculty members hold M.Phil or higher degrees, and are equally experienced in teaching. They help out the students in all possible ways.

Placement Experience:

Our college provides placement. At first they will conduct some training programme for those students who are all interested and paid fee for placements after that based on the performance of the students in the interviews they got selected. Companies like Accenture and many others come forward. The percentage of the students getting placed is depends on good performance. I planned to look forward for some jobs by cracking some exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
