The course curriculum is based on the minimum Credits required to achieve to get the degree. It's inclusive of two types of subjects offered- compulsory subjects based on your branch and common electives based on your choice for overall development. 1-2 industrial visits are done throughout the course of graduation.

The gender ratio is poor roughly 1 girl per 15 boys. Full of extracurricular activities including different cultural groups for every activity you can think of and top of the class sports facilities. The campus life is very vibrant and a perfect opportunity for an extrovert to take full advantage of the facilities provided.

There are 13 hostels all around the campus of 350 acres. 50% of hostels are old buildings with bigger rooms and the rest are new buildings with optimized small rooms. Overall nice infrastructure for students.

A good alumni network with frequent email updates about the initiatives taken by the Alumnus Group. We at our time were also introduced to our alumni.

IITs are known for their brands and mounted as the crowns of the colleges in India. Admissions were only done through one JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM and colleges are selected based on the ranking. Luckily I got IIT Roorkee as one lf the oldest and profound IIT.

Faculty is filled with plethora of experience with many past IITians also. The average age group is on the higher side compared to other Colleges. But mostly college is known more for the students rather than faculties. Lectures do hold relevance with respect to the wide range of courses offered.
