Remarks

I would just request for one thing to please update students exam marks on the portal ASAP and solve the issues of passed out students with thier backlogs. I haven't had an issue but have seen most of my friends suffering till now. Other than that everything is just awesome. Proud Carmelite.

Entrance Preview

We had an interview about the course offered and our future plans and ambitions. And why I opted for this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It was great. B.Com Industry Integrated was a new course offered and we were the 2nd batch. We had theory + practical which is 1 month internship after each semester. So it gave us lot of exposure to outter world and also face the world with confident. We were equivalent to MBA as we had 42 subjects which had Marketing (1 & 2), Finance and IT as electives to choose from. Apart from that we had to study French which was mandatory for 2yrs as a part of the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

My experience I would say it was good. Though we had 5 internships after each sem, sometimes it would be terrible too as we need to find the co.and seek for internships there. But apart from that companies like Goldman Sachs, Google, Nokia and few more used to come for the placements as well as 1 month paid internship for students. Few of my batch mates took up the entrance, aptitude and cleared the interview and got the internship and also got placed after the final year.I never gave a try to these co.sIt wasn't my interest though.

Placement Experience

4.5

Job opportunities are abandon. But as per me I din't like it. I used to give my name for most of the co.'s. Attend ppt presentation or 1st round and walk back. It wasn't what I wanted. My passion and dream was totally into something. Most of the companies who came for placements were looking for finance, accounting, H.R, sales, BPO or marketing. Most of my classmates (B.com Industry Integrated) were placed in good companies with good salary as the company thought we had lot of exposure to different companies during the internships.

College Events

5

The list just goes. We have so many programs, events celebrated. Am not sure which one to talk about. We have different fests organised by different departments like commerce, arts, science. Again Commerce has different fests like French day, BBM fest, Travel & Tourism fests, Awareness program. There are 2 important fest in commerce which happens between Carmelites and other one is where different colleges participate and win the prizes. They come to our college. One main fest is Cul-aah!! Culturals that happens for 3days (Thur.Fri.Sat) its the biggest fest that happens and the crowd is too huge. We participate is most of the events and make sure things are organised as per the events and make it successful.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure depends on the course you choose. It differs from arts, science and commerce. I wish they cut down the fee structure to some % for particular courses that's been increased now.

Campus Life

4.5

Mount Carmel is not co-ed but it stands out to be the best in education and women empowerment!!!Best thing about Mount Carmel is the campus and surrounding. We believe in swatch bharat. Our campus is always clean and tidy. We have known for good manners and culture. There's no racism as such or ragging juniors or bullies done or any politicals happened as such. There are so many students from different religion and states but we are known by one name 'Carmelite'. Always united! I am not Christian but I go to chapel. The environment is too good and pleasant for one to come and study higher.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I haven't stayed in hostel though. But have heard my friend saying that the facilities provided are good and the surrounding are nice, hostel fee is not higher compared to paying guest fee outside.

Alumni/Alumna

Every year we have an alumni meet which is awesome. College staffs who are in charge of it mail us the details and send a link a register. Our seniors are just out going and keeping in touch with them is a great feeling. You can learn a lot from them and gain some more information and ideas.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is always the best. They give us the details prior in 1month. Sitting arrangements and timings are put 1 week before the exam starts. It's all chilled out unless students have prepared well.

Faculty

4

Our faculties were actually good. They helped us in solving our doubts either practical or theory. They were always there with us to support and guide. My best lecture I would say is Ms.Jency (MCA department) who used to teach us IT in business and practicals. I still keep in touch her. Seek her advice when am not able to take things @ the worst. Or anything related to higher studies on particular course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.
