A brief Introduction to Central University of Rajasthan

Over all Central University of Rajasthan is one of the best university in all aspects such as academic, cultural, administrative and campus life.

Integrated M. Sc. program is a 5 year (10 sem. ) long. 8n 1st 4 semesters one student have to study all the science (physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Stastics, computer science, Environmental science, food and Nutrition etc. ) and some subjects of social sciences (public administration, Disaster management, constitution of india, etc. ) Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) is followed by the University. One student have to earn 36 credit per year up to 3rd year and 48 credit in 4th and 5th year.

Placement cell is less active because more No, of are interested to pursuing higher education such as ph. D. and post doc. Research work and make a good career in it. But internship is very comman and one can get internship at CSIR, IIT, AIIMS, and labs such Academy of Science etc. Thourough faculty recommendation.

University campus is vibrant and multicultural, multilingual culture do exist in the CURAJ campus. There are many events include Annual fest by university and many events by different schools of studies and department of the University per year. 2 unit of NSS exist in university. University host atleast 5 international confrence per year.

As this university is a central university and fully funded by government of india. Fees structure is feasible. 16, 000 to 17, 000 per year is academic fees and with hostel and mess all expense up to ?48, 000 per year. (Including Fooding, hostel, library, wifi, academic fee, lab fees)

Campus life is very good. Students from approx all the state of india study here with many students from different nation such as bangladesh, filistin, south African countries, Gender ratio is 1:1 boys and girls in campus. All religion, region, and culture treated equal here and promote them.

As this university is relatively young university so the Alumni Network is not much strong but the seniors and faculty are very helpful and supportive. One can get help from other department's students and even from Ph. D. scholar also.

Admission in all the courses of Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) is done thourough the Central University Comman Entrance Test (CUCET). CUCET is a national level entrance exam for approx. 20 universities. Based on score in CUCET students get admision in various integrated UG-PG, PG and Ph. D. programs of more than 24 departments of CURAJ. Merit lists are prepair on all india level based on CUCET score. There is no any reservation on basis of state of domicile. CUCET generally conducts in last month of May every year and admission process completed up to 2nd week of July and class started from that time.

All facilities are easily accessible to the students because of student and faculty ratio is approx. 12: 1. All Students are given an university email id by which they can contact teachers. All faculties are available full time for 5 days (mon to Fri) in a week at department.
