Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.

At M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, undergraduate (MBBS) students get good clinical exposure through early patient contact in the attached 1,300+-bed tertiary hospital, with ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and diverse case loads across specialties, plus community field visits and skill lab practice. Hands-on learning increases as you advance toward final clinical postings and the compulsory internship.
