This college doesn't have a big or smart campus but you will definitely enjoy studying here. Management will always try to help you. The teachers will treat you as their own Childs.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is devised by Veterinary Council of India and is followed by the college. Exam is on yearly basis having 3 internals and 1 external. Out of the thouree internal best 2 of them is used for marking. External exam consists of two papers.

Placement Experience

Placement record is very good. If you study even with slight destination you can get government job as assistant Veterinary surgeon. You can also pressure for other sectors such as army, Indian civil service or have your own private clinic. You can also be a professor after completion of matter degrees. Last year is used for internship in which you receive 12000 rupees per month. Maximum for any state Veterinary college

College Events

Various types of events are celebrated in our college. Starting from annual function, to Agri uni fest etc. During which you can show your skills and it will also help in your further studies. Cultural events and sports events will improve your personality and will help you to become a good person. The college events will try to bring the best of you and the semis and teachers are always there to help.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. For the first 22-25 students in ranking list it is total 1.6-1.8 lakh rupees course fee for 4.5 years. Students other than that ( 55-60) have to pay 5-6 lakhs rupees yearly. There is a complete transparency in free collection. You have to pay extra amount nearly (30000 rupees yearly) for mess and hostel.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can apply for loan any time. Loan is processed rather quickly. Many scholarship available for financially week students. Scholarship are also available for scheduled care and scheduled tribe students. You have to be in top 5-10 percent of students to avail scholarship

Campus Life

Gender ratio is 65:35 average. Many cultural events and sports events take place in campus. As students from many states come to study here so you get a wide diversity. Labs needs a little bit of funding so that they can provide the best out there. Many of the extracurricular activities are conducted round the year such as skit, dramas, mono action, mime, dance, singing, etc. Also literary everything duck as debate essay calligraphy speech are conducted. Both indoor and outdoor sporting events are organised for students.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, the boys hostel is not in good shape as it has not been renovated in a long time. The girls hostel is quite better and is safe. The boys hostel is to be renovated soon. You have to pay extra for mess. Adequate seats are available in hostel. Each room is shared by 3 people (some rooms have 2 persons also as less students are in hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very much helpful. As many of air seniors are in different types of job so they provide us a broader certificates of what we can do after completion of or courses.

Admission

This is one of the best option if can't get a seat for MBBS or if you are an animal lover. The forms for state level will be available as 'OUAT Entrance form'.The form fill up starts from feb and ends in march last. The exam is conducted in April last or march first week. Exam is off 200 marks and consists of 4 sections (physics, chemistry, biology/math, and general reasoning). Duration of exam is 2 hours. A second form form B is to be filled after examination in which you have to upload your certificates etc. The merit list is prepared by using marks of 10th,12th and examination. You have to be in top scorers to qualify for Veterinary education. Also you can join by national level by giving NEET examination.

Faculty

Faculty members are highly educated. Most of them have passed from the same college. Minimum qualification of assistant professor is master degree. For associate professor and HOD it's Doctorate. Most of the teachers are local so it helps local student a lot as they can easily communicate in their local language. Classroom teaching is in English. Notes provided by the teacher are of utmost importance. Practical class are also fine. It needs some improvement which is being delayed due to inadequate fund supplies.

Placement Experience:

After completing the course you will be a veterinary doctor. There is an exam called OPSC VAS which occurs after the release of vacant posts in the state. The passed students are posted in the veterinary dispensaries as VAS . Previous year 95% of students were posted. Students can also go for pg in the college. Provision of stipend is there for pg students which is ?10000.

Curriculum is vast and exhaustive(5.5 years) out of which 4 yrs are for studies and 1 year for rotating internship.It is one of the safe and good option for students looking as back-up for neet exam.U will find many similarities with human body. Additionally, u will get dr designation at the end of curriculum.. So overall a good course to pursue. Veterinary science is not as prominent as medical sciences in the country..Yet it is gaining importance nowadays.Its importance is growing rapidly.

Remarks:

College is overall good. Maybe library can get more opening hours and books. My college offers a good teaching and assures a government job almost certainly. Some sectors like infrastructure may be developed like a caffetaria.
