My Review

College management is quite cooperative and cares about its student.

Course curriculum is research oriented. Course content involves analyzing papers from renowned conferences in various fields like ICML, IDSS, CACM and so on. It also has hands on content in form of Assignments and Projects. Some of the projects are open ended which gives enough room developing research abilities since scores were based on novelty of topic.

Many companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Uber, Google visit campus. General process goes like first there will be coding test and then based on shortlist there will be interview however Google's recruitment process was absolute shit. It gave damn easy coding test and then shortlisted students on the basis of academic performances not even paying heed to GSoc experience, Kick start background and so on. It seemed Google recruiters were only looking for girls. 100% placement every year. Institute has a dedicated team for smoothing out placement process. They conduct mock coding tests and interviews.

Technical events like Techfest showcases latest research ongoing in campus. Cultural events like Mood Indigo invites performers from world to participate in dance, music, robo wars etc E-Summit is a management festival which invites entrepreneurs from all corners of world and also provides platform to showcase new ideas.

For M.Tech program we have Tution fees 20000 and Hostel/Mess fees 27000 per semester. No additional charges are needed to secure admission to course since admission is on the basis of merit. Entire fee process is transparent to student. Modes of payment available are Cash, Net banking and UPI.

Scholarship oppurtunities were given but I was not aware about them much. I have not applied for education loan as well since I had enough savings from past job.

Gender ratio is 1:9 that is for every 9 boys there is one girl. Campus life is good one can balance between work, courses, sports and cultural activities if they plan their time appropriately. There are many sporting facilities like Basletball courts, Badminton Courts, Tennis Court, Squash room, Pool room, Cricket field, hockey field and Football field. We have many extracurricular labs like Zero Waste, XLR8, IARC and so on.

We have strong alumni network with a separate body on its own called SARC. Seniors, although passed out still help us with many things like academics, cultural fests and so on.

Entrance exam and Interview Reauires GATE exam as qualifier, if rank is under 100 then direct admission is possible else we need to give a coding test followed by personal interview to get thourough. It's a research oriented course so I chose it. In this course there will be few compulsory courses like Software Lab, Communication skills and M.Tech Project and then there are few electives fields ranging from Machine Learning to Operating systems.

Tentative number of lecturers is approximately 40. Every one of them holds PhD from renowned institutes like MIT. Average age lies between 35-45. They hold quite a good expertise in their respective fields since they keep on publishing papers on novel topics. Few of them hold industry experience but not all of them.
