Remarks

College is autonomous. So they are kind enough to support us as much as they can for us to get good grades. They provide study material thourough PDFs and help us prepare. Interactive classes with the help of projectors are taken. The method of teaching for selected subjects is Activity Based Learning. Good labs with expensive equipments. The lecturers are student friendly. Bad remarks is that the management is hugely hypocritic. They claim more than they possess. It's clearly a profit minded institution. They are ready to do anything to get good reviews, accreditations, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is designed in such a way that it's industry friendly. Students get to learn more about the practical things. Campus placements are done here. But the packages are usually less. Industrial visits are conducted every year. For us, Aerospace Students, we were taken to HAL Aerospace Museum, Marathalli for Industrial Visit.

Placement Experience

3.5

Since I'm a second year student still, I'm not sure of the companies still. But many Korean based, Germany based companies come to campus to recruit. The highest paid student who got placed this year is a CS Engineer with a package of 30L per annum. The college claims that it provides 100 per placement. But it's usually only 60-70 per. Yes, the institution provides Placement Training in the Final Year of Engineering, probably in that 7th sem.

College Events

5

Infinity is the biggest fest conducted in this college. It comprises of various techno, cultural, food, sports fests. Different clubs of the College conduct different fests over the time. During infinity, DJ nights are arranged for the students till 11 late night. Fashion Shows are conducted. Battle of Bands is hosted. And many more competitions. Over 4000 students will be present during the fest on campus. Students from other institutions are invited by giving them entry passes. More than 20 completions like photography, gaming, dance, singing, beatbox, robo wars, code debugging, cooking without fire, literature, gully cricket etc are held at a time on campus during infinity.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college accepts both Cash and online payment thourough SBI Portal. The fees structure is different for different courses. It depends on the department. For example for Aerospace Engineering it's 2. 10 Lakhs per year. For Civil Engineering it's 1. 50 Lakhs. It ranges from 1. 50 to 2. 10 lakhs. The college charges extra 37K as admission fees only in the first year. Yes, it provides transparecy in the fee-breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scholarship facilities to students. If the get distinction, 10 percent of the total college fees paid is returned as scholarship to encourage students. College Fees can also be payed with the provision of Educational Loan.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio in campus is 2 : 1 :: Male : Female. Workshops are conducted by various clubs in college. It consists of all kind of linguistic students who speaks, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Gujurathi, Marathi etc. Hindus, Chourustians and Muslims are the religions to which majority of the students belong. There are few countable Foreign students from Africa, Israel, Nepal etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

No I have not opted for hostel but ik few things about it. The hostel has solar water facility. Girls and boys have seperate dorms. The hostel is divided into 3 categories. 8 Sharing, 4 sharing and 2 sharing. For 2 sharing it's 2 lakhs per year, 4 sharing, it's 1. 5 lakhs and 8 sharing 1lakh. The mess provides healthy Indian meals and Western food for NRI and Foreign students. In case hostel seats are limited, City hostel facilities are available. Where buses are provided for travelling from Institution campus to City Hostel in Banglore. Outpasses signed by warden and class teacher are to be given at Security at campus entrance before leaving to home or for any work. Attendance will be taken at 9 PM in hostels in all dorms. The campus gates will be closed at 9 PM for students, they can't go out after that.

Alumni/Alumna

No we haven't had any contact or interaction with our alumni till now. Once they pass out of college. They don't come again. But few of our seniors who are close enough to us have suggested us on various things, and given their advices for us.

Admission

It is the best institution for studying Aerospace Engineering. So I chose this college. We have to submit all original certificates like 10th marks card, 12th marks card and pay the complete fees within one month of the starting of college. Admission is based on Entrance Test conducted by the college.

Faculty

5

This Institution has one of the best faculties in any College. All the lecturers are double degree holders and also possess PHDs. They have an incredible industry experience of more than 20-30 years. And teaching experience of nearly 10 years. All the faculty are ex employees and heads of various government institutions like ISRO, BHEL, HAL and other MNCs.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
