The course basically focusses in encouraging a students mind in an innovative way for research while simultaneously imparting knowledge of basic Physics and Maths as well as in-depth knowledge of chemistry, examinations are held regularly to ensure the student's focus on the curriculum, the labs are well equipped and has all necessary safety measures checked.

No, unfortunately no job placement or internships are provided via Digboi College at the moment, but as per rumours our college soon wants to implement the options of placements and internships. Although last year JIO held an in campus job recruitment which was available for pass outs and last year students.

Digboi College regularly organises various events which include NSS events, College Weeks, talks by resource persons. Also various competitions and sports programmes are held on a regular basis which are both inter-college as well as intra-college events.

On average for a semester a Bsc student pays 2500 rupees which exclude the admission fees that is to be paid during the start of the odd semester which sums upto around 6000 as a whole, also for examinations there are separate fee structure for separate branches and additional if the student has any backlogs.

Although our college provides scholarship to meritorious students who are from economically backward sections, but the same is not available round the year. Although special provisions are available via the university which minimises the fees of the student with no monetary benefits directly provided.

Digboi college being a co-education system college has same amount of boy to girl ratio, the girls enjoy the common room facilities whereas the boy's common room is generally locked, the environment of the college is very friendly between all the communities and gender and students from different economic status mix together pretty well.

Being a student of Digboi college I can proudly say that we have had the best seniors, there is no concept of ragging whatsoever, the seniors are always helpful be it in academics or in general life, also they are more like family rather then just college seniors.

I always wanted to pursue Bsc with chemistry major, so after 12th I submitted my form for the college and later got enlisted for the course. The selection procedure is solely based on merit basis with some quota based selections as well.

Digboi College chemistry department has the best set of teachers. They friendly and at the same time strict enough to control the students and highly knowledged with advance skill in teaching, most of the teachers are holders of doctorate in philosophy and have multiple research papers against their names.
