Remarks
I am a little dissatisfied with college and need some good labs & other facilities. There are some old building which require repair. Also there should be some facilities regarding research oriented programs along with academics.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure composed of basics of all branch in 1st year so that students will get into engineering with proper knowledge to their sophomer year. Yearly 2 semesters comprised of midsem & endsem. Along with academic students also get involved in research project by help of profesor which makes students more stronger in concept. A day consisting of lab & theory is more or understanding less hectic to most of students.
Placement Experience
Almost all students are getting placed. Different MNC along with PSU & organization like DRDO, ISRO also come for campus placement. It also provide internship in summer. Almost all students of all branches get placed in their respective branch related companies. Some achieving their dream job also thourough campus placement at the age of 21.
College Events
Technical fest Inno, Cultural fest NITRUTSAV, Multi Cultural fest Cosmopolitan, Sports fest Vriddhi & inter-nit meets usually organised every year in our college. Celebrity Night, sun burn DJ being special attraction pulls crowd from different regions of Odisha & nearby states.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee Structure is based upon family income & category of the students. Overally it's feasible. TFW for economically backward Student is provided. Students having annual family income 6lakh & above pays the totall fee while students with family income less than 1lakh obtains TFW.
Fees and Financial Aid
Don't know much about it. State level scholarships like prerana, e-medhabruti and Central level NSP and other different scholarships. OPJEMS scholarship for top 3 students of every branch. Students also getting scholarship form alumni association.
Campus Life
Extar curricular activities like intra hall, inter hall, inter branch sports, annual sports meet, SAC election on different societies namely arts & cultural, technical, literary, organising fest etc. There is a great diversity of students with different culture from different corners of India and foreign countries.
Hostel Facilities
For 1st year & 2nd year there is sharing rooms while for others single room is there. Separate hostel for married student is provided. Hostel infrastructure being quite astounding bt mess is average for people.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are quite helpful even they have active association names NITRAA which helps in aiding different hostel facilities and other programs of institute. They also having different programs which make feel us we are protected by these safe hands & also they are conducting several seminar and lecture on further career selection & progress.
Admission
My enthusiasm over engineering drag me to this, got admission by clearing JEE mains with decent all india rank. Then get thourough counselling held by CSAB. The admission process is solely based upon all India rank of students.
Faculty
There are different types of faculties in this university. Some being very strict to attendance though their teaching is that much bad on the other hand some proffesor are so cool they don't prioritise attendance & in 1hour class came on time and teach to the fullest. Some being more friendly help students in academic & other ways in life like choosing different projects, internship & all.
