College environment

Tolerance regarding gender, sex, poltics and past traditions are bit of issue some times but it is trying to overcome with it with the new generations coming in. Alot about the internal pattern of college can be improved.

The curriculum needs to be revised because its too old now. Few new techniques and methods can be introduced. Exam structure is very hectic as we have 3 exams (minor test, mid semester and end semester) in one semester(4-5months span).

Our college has top rankings in placement of students. Its has both campus placemmets and internship. Alot of big companies every year take majority of students. We have a training and placemnet cell (TPO cell) which along with some faculties take care of the same.

There is a wide range of events held all thourough out the year. 2 major events are first the technical fest, that is techno search in odd semester and second the cultural fest, maffick during even sem. Alon with them events on every occasions are organised. There are lots of societies and clubs taking care of same.

The fee structure is Feasible. It is classified on several parameters like income group ans reservation bases. The annual tution fee differs for different categories of students. Details about the fee structure can be easily found on the college website.

Being a National Institute of technology our college stands at good position in its extra curricular activities. It has proper labs for every department. There is a sports complex. Gender ratio is a issue in some of the courses but with time it is getting better, still a long way to go. There no. Of cultural societies and different student bodies and exposure to different activities is huge.

Hostel are good enough and are getting improve in terma of infrastructure and facilities every coming year. Girls hostel is nicely madw with sufficient open space, proper mess, courtyards parking space. Rooms have attached washourooms and kitchen space. We have open wifi and LAN connection in every room.

MANIT has a alumini network. It is known for its senior junior bond and relationship. It is always useful to have a good alumini network may be you take in terms of motivation or as help in world outside college. The guidance is always important and alumini plays an important role in it.

I got admission in my college thourough entrance exam (JEE paper 2). After that thourough a joint centralized allotment system (JOSAA) we were supposed to make our priority list of colleges according to marks obtained and to which we aspire to go. Then we had several rounds of allotment and counseling where we freezed our desired college. I wanted to be in my course that is architecture.

They are well qualified and good at their respective Subjects. We have a lot of faculties expert in their majors and are always availble for help. There is some minimum criterion for qualification of a faculty in NITs and all permanent faculties fulfill it.
