My experience at MANIT bhopal

I am studying btech in mechanical engineering. The course curriculum is well updated, upto the point and helps the students to apply the taught complex in real life. The timings of classes are from 9 a.m to 1 p.m and then from 2.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m.

Various companies visited MANIT in the FY 2024-25 and offered variety of internships and research positions with stipends across different departments. Companies like johnson & johnson, physics wallah provided internships to students.

Students become eligible for campus placements after 6th semester. Various companies visited MANIT including FAANG and other Indian startups. The highest package was INR 82 LPA and average was around 25 LPA.

The tution fees is rupees 125000/- per year (considering you are a general category student of an annual family income of above 5 lakh rupees). Mess fees is rupees 27500/- per year and hostel rent is rupees 18500/-(including water and electricity charges).Other charges include institute development fund, library fees,bus fees, medical fund, student activity fee which is rupees 8000/- per semester. MANIT Bhopal offers several scholarships to support students: • Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: For students demonstrating academic excellence and financial need. • National Merit Scholarship: Awarded by the Government of India. • State Merit Scholarship: Offered by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. • Scholarships for SC/ST Students: Including Post Matric Scholarships. • Bharati Scholarships: For students in Telecommunication and Electronics Engineering, covering study costs, hostel charges, and other expenses.

Overall, the campus life is excellent. The crowd is good, boys and girls ratio is 4:1. There are various cultural and educational clubs to take part in like robotics, dance etc. An annual cultural fest is also organised named MAFFICK. Students are also involved in other engagement activities.

Facilities provided in the rooms include 24×7 electricity and internet. The mess provides good food which is nutritional and healthy. We have a fixed menu according to which food is prepared in the mess.

I was getting other nits and iiits as well but I opted for nit bhopal as this city is developing rapidly and has good connectivity from every part of India. The placements are moderate in nit bhopal which is another reason for opting this college.

The faculties are well qualified from prestigious institutes around the world.They use pictorial representations and real life examples to make the class engaging and interesting. The faculties sometimes encourage rote learning which is considered not appropriate in a university.

The nightlife is excellent as we enjoy a lot with our friends which includes group studies, nightouts, birthday parties and a lot more. There is a gym, library and various canteens.Hostels are open 24×7 and we can roam around the huge campus anytime.
