Remarks

The college does not have a technical environment. The college is located in the outskirts of the city. The teacher do not how to explain or we can say that they don’t know how to teach properly We are totally dependent on video lectures and we study and understand from youtube

The curriculum could BC be updated and I think they could more new subjects related to new developments. The exam structure gives weightage to theory portion more so i think more stress should be made in practical part.

Our college call some companies like Infosys, nagaroo, opps info solution, ramy info solutions and many other small companies. Yes our college provide internships and the stipend depends on the type of placement and the field in which you are placed.

College Events

Our college holds a technical event every year which has great participation from the colleges present in the city as well as from other cities. Our college also holds cultural festivals which has great participation from different colleges

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is about ?84,545 per year and is feasible as compared to other colleges which provide same courses at higher rate. But the fees is increased every year by about ?10,000 this is just one negative point of the fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not opted for any scholarships but my friends have, they opted governments scholarship scheme as such no scholarship is provided by our college but their many other scholarship provided to students by state government.

Campus Life

The gender ratio is low as it is an engineering field. Their are different groups for cultural events and different technical groups for innovation. Students are from different state. The college semi government funded so their no bothering of any funds but these are time consuming process

Hostel Facilities

Yes, I have opted hostel room in the college the is sharing in which two students are accommodated.The condition of rooms are not that good as the hostels are old. The hostel fees for a semester is around ?7875.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni are frequently visiting our college to guide us for our future placement. They help us to prepare for the office jobs and tell us how to prepare for the placement. They are also in frequent contact with us

Admission

I got admission into this college by passing jee mains examination and choose computer science and engineering as my stream. I chose this because i am very much in to computer programming and love to develop new software.

Faculty

Most of the faculty are PH.D in their opted field. Some teachers only like to teach those subjects which are their major and therefore when assigned different subjects do not take interest in teaching it

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

Peaceful and green campus of PUSSGRC

Firstly I have applied for Himachal Pradesh Technical Univeristy, Hamirpur, before joining Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri regional Centre, Hoshiarpur. I got CSE there, but left because the placement scenario is not as I expected, as it is a new college and still progressing, while UIET, PUSSGRC has a good placement scenario of 70-80% placements and has a good reputation. Admission to this college is on the basis of JEE Main exam and by appling JAC Chandigarh Counselling.
