About our college

Our college lacks infrastructure. Especially there is no ground for sports also the auditorium which we have is very small as compared to the number of students on campus. The campus is shared amongst 3 other departments, the symbiosis school, media and communication students and design students.

The course curriculum is fine but the exam structure is not very flexible. The marking system is also very bad. They have a grading system where they mark you on the basis of the batch average. Overall they have exams after every semester which also includes field works, assignments, internal evaluations and projects.

The placements as of now are not that great. Personally i feel Symbiosis could get much better internships and placements. Talking about stipends, generally there's no stiped for internships but for rare instances there is which varies from 1000 to 5000.

The biggest event that our college is known for is the SYMPULSE FEST. Its a 5 day fest followed by a SUNDOWNER. Our fest covers all types of dance, drama,talent,games,fashion show etc where many Bollywood celebrities and daily soap actors and actresses come to judge it. The students of the college themselves organise the whole event with the guidance of the faculty in charge of the fest. Students from different colleges come and participate for our fest and a lot of them also win cash prizes for certain events.

According to me the fees is little expensive in comparison to other colleges where they have good placements and infrastructure. Even though we have a good curriculum, course structure and faculty but our college still lack better placement opportunities. Our fees is nearly 3 lakhs per year which is way too expensive.

There are no scholarships provided by our college as such but there are scholarships for International Students and the students who top with good marks also get their college fees waived. Our college doesn't provide any sort of loan facility.

Our college actively takes part in all the tournaments and also encourages the students to participate. Our university also organizes competitions amongst the inter colleges under the Symbiosis University. Overall our college has lot of sports involvement along with which they also have different business and management competitions and other co-curricular activities.

The infrastructure and the facilities are not up to the mark as compared to other hostels outside Pune. They have no washing machine, no refrigerator and also the service rooms are so less as compared to the number of rooms in a particular floor.

Our seniors are really helpful. They guide us whenever we ask for help. Our college has allotted us with student mentors who are usually the third year students who help us with whatever problems we face on campus or related to our studies.

Firstly i filled up the admission form and then got my admit card for my entrance exam which is also called SET EXAM. This was the first round of the admission process. Second round that I had was the writing assessment round where we were displayed a picture on the board and we had to interpret it and write an essay relating it. Then lastly we had our Personal Interview round where we were interviewed by the professors of that college.

Most of the faculty in our college are really experienced and help us a lot in learning and also guiding us with our decisions related to subjects and career opportunities. The teachers also try giving us a lot of practical knowledge.
