Remarks

It is a great college to spent your 5 years. It is in a great place not in the busy town but at the same time not in a village area and it has a great student friendly atmosphere and the accompaneing hospital is also nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is pretty hectic and the time for classes and labs are equally divided.there are many tests and viva thouroughout the year 1 university paper each year at the end.students are assessed and internal assessment marks are also important.students with very low attendance are not allowed to appear for the university

Placement Experience

3.5

I just joined the college a year ago and I am in my 2nd year right now so I don't know much about the job opportunities. But unlike other courses here we pass out as doctors need not worry about placement like in engineering colleges and my college does provide 1 year internship after completion with stipend.I don't know the exact amount given tho.

College Events

5

All major cultural events are celebrated in our college. It is the time when all students of all years come together to celebrate. As it is a college based on the principles of sree narayana guru all religions are given equal priorities and the whole college participate as one

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yearly fee of almost 600000 per year, it is a bit costly when compared to other courses like engineering, MBA, Bsc etc but MBBS is a great course and I would say that the fee structure is some what reasonable.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not taken any kind of loan nor do I have any kind of scholarship to aid my studies. Many of my friends have taken student loans from banks of which I don't have proper knowledge of, so i won't say much about things I don't know

Campus Life

3.5

There are more females in our college than males, in every batch almost 60 out of 100 are usually girls.our college takes extra interest in extracurricular activities like arts and sports there is a batch wise completion every year and it usually stretches on for about a month.there are students from all kinds of economic status and different religions.

Hostel Facilities

4

I myself have not opted to stay in the college hostel as my house is very near to the college and it is not compulsory to stay in the college hostel. The college hostel provides both food and accommodation at around 150000 per year the hostel has 7 floors a lift and even a gym

Alumni/Alumna

As I am only a new student at our college I am not aware of extensive alumini networks but I believe there is one and they conduct get togethers and other functions. As all pass out as doctors the get together planning would be easier

Admission

I like to be of use to the community and I like helping people these are the reasons for choosing MBBS.I believe being a doctor is one of the most noble jobs a person can have, and I have other doctors in my family. It is a very demanding course and is very difficult to clear but I am willing to give it my best as this is my dream.I got admission by clearing NEET UG

Faculty

4

The quality of the faculty is one of my major reasons for choosing this college.Compared to the other private colleges in kerala our college has a great result every year. All faculty are well qualified and has prior experience in teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doctors are always a need for the society. The curriculum deals mainly in healing people which attracted me towards it. The curriculum has specific competencies a student should achieve in order to be competent as an Indian Medical Graduate. These competencies are set of skills every student should acquire. Teaching should be more practical oriented and theory should be reduced. More competencies should be included. Frequency of exams doesnt affect much. but portions to be studied for each exams are bit heavy. Difficulty level is moderate to hard

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course facilitates learning in each and every department of the medical college which gives us accessibility on how each wing works..giving us an idea to help decide where we see our future. Since we start clinical practice from our 2nd year and interactions with the patients continously it prepares us for almost every situation, since it is a government college we see all kinds of people from all backgrounds, giving us a different type of exposure. Some departments have fewer faculty making it difficult for them to care for the students and patients at the same time so the students maybe left unattended. Exams occur almost on a monthly basis, some harder than the others, but all are quite easy to pass with adequate studying.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of our study is prepared by National medical council and all the government medical colleges and private medical colleges in India are compelled to follow their rules. I like medical profession because I really likes the biology I opted it. The teaching method in government medical colleges are little bit different from that of our schools since we have clinical classes to handle also other professors are very good at teaching us by the aids of projection. MBBS courses very difficult to study also very interesting to study we have early basis exams in which each exam is conducted it the end of the year since the course is five and half years, in which four and half years of teaching and one year of internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose MBSS out of my own personal interest. However bewarned, it is not for everyone. Its a very hectic life. There are much less faculty available for each student but that is the case in every medical college. All faculty are mbbs, PG and PSC passed. They are very dedicated, if free from other works. Exams are very plenty, almost too much for most students. Passing an exam itself is a hurdle for most people and all subjects are indeed hard to cover
