Remarks

Lots of positive to say, like it's definitely the best college for graduation in the East zone, NAAC 'A' accredited again, being autonomous is a boon for the institution, semesters ends properly, good curriculum, etc. Negative points might include the class and leisure timing as some classes don't have leisures in between 4 or 5 lectures while some have 2 or 3 leisures between 2 lectures. Everything else is awesome.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Well our college is NAAC 'A' accredited, so not much to say about curriculum. But one important thing is being an autonomous college, it has it's own designed curriculum and it changes according to the need. Recent change in our curriculum was introduction to python and other future ready topics. Exam structure for graduation is quite simple. 6 semester and 16 core papers to pass. There are other secondary generic papers too. You can get promoted to next year only if you are able to collect half of the alloted grade points, as per CBCA rule.

Placement Experience

4.5

College does provide us with some campus drives. This year campus drives were held by, KPMG, Lido Learning, DEShaw and few others. We were also given opportunities in renowned companies like, SAP, Infosys, TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant and Wipro. So I believe there are a lot of opportunities for students to get placed, if they are worthy.

College Events

5

We have lots and lots of events round the year. Some biggest celebrations are Sports meet and Xavierutsav(Cultural yearly Fest). Xavier's fest is a proud event for the whole city. Rest are cultural meets, literary meets, and others events in the campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I believe it's not too high, though it seems like being looted. But there are scholarships for different category students. Figures ranges from around 20K/year to 30K/year for normal graduation courses. For vocational courses, It ranges from 40K/year to around 65K/year for Biotechnology.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not so sure about loans but yes scholarships are provided. On such scholarship is Jharkhand government's E-Kalyan scholarship. This scholarship is provided to the students based on their annual family income. I don't know what percentage of the fee is provided as scholarship but yes it provided. Note that the scholarship isn't available for GEN students. Other scholarship are based on merit and are provided at the end of the year. Merit scholarships are cash based prize distribution and is provided to top 3 students.

Campus Life

4.5

In this case I believe, It is well said that our Institution is ranked 1 in this zone. We have 7-8 computer labs around the campus. Among which one is Central lab with the capacity of about 250 systems in one large hall. We do have labs for different departments too. Regarding sports, we have a PhE department which organises Most famous event Annual Sports meet. Regarding environment of college, It is well maintained, though some departments have low gender ratios but others makeup the gap. We do have cultural diversity too and we get holidays for them too. Not much to say about economic status and other topics, because Everything seems good when people are good.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No, I didn't opted for college Hostel. Though option is present for students. Hostel has shared rooms and Mess facility. I lived in a private hostel outside the college campus. Here facilities are good and Hostel location is much favourable. 10min walking distance to my college. Here too, I have shared room with bed charge of 2K/month. Yes that's costly because of favorable location and facilities provided. Some Hostels have monthly charges of 1500 or even less. Girls hostels do have higher charges due to included mess services and that is around 5K to 7K/ month.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, of course seniors are helpful not just in academics but also with other events around. Sharing of past year notes and question papers are most likely things between seniors and juniors. Alumni plays a very vital role in placements and other fields of the college.

Admission

BSc in IT is one of the very few courses, which are not known to many. I got to know about it thourough my friend that our college provides the facility. Nothing much about the admission process, clear entrance test which is often too easy to crack. After that face the interview panel, you might seem struggling there.

Faculty

4

Teachers are well qualified, some have Doctorate degree and others have atleast masters degree and 10+ years of experience in teaching. They know a lot about their subject matter and definitely know how to keep students interested in that particular subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I see a lot of students who struggled in maths, that's why I chose this course. If I talk about real-world examples, from number systems to multiplication, fractions and trigonometry to find the height of pole. Areas of improvement are to relate mathematics with real-world examples, use methods like Vedic mathematics, and also creative, active participation rather than rote memorisation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Like everyone knows in which carriculum they are interested ,similarly i know i have a keen interest in my subject i.e. physics . We can't see physics as a theoretical and mathematical aspect but in our daily Life we use to experienc it . Like if something is fell down there is a reason behind that is gravity .we use to experience physics in our daily life . Some teacher use to make us feel for that subject but someone make us bore sometime. It happens rarely but sometime it happens. So i suggest them to change some activity Like teach with more energyso tha we can't get bored. Sometime we get very lengthy paper in the exams so everyone have to prepare before the examination with high speed.

I was very fond of mathematics in my intermediate times that's why I chose to do my graduation from BSC Maths Honours. But I chose the wrong college for doing so, which overall ruined my life. After coming to this college, I lost my interest in studies and this is the only thing I gained from this college. So, I would recommend everybody to stay away from this college.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement in our college is held after the completion of all 6 semesters and there is very limited number of companies that come over to offer placement but off campus placements starts from 6 semester onwards. The companies visited were Vedanta for graduate trainee offering 1.40 - 4.65 LPA Tata Power for graduate trainee offering 1.90 - 3.69 LPA Only 40% students got placements. Many students didn't take part as the packages very low & even the perks were not so good. I planned to do higher studies in M.Sc. As the subject was very intriguing I preferred pursuing more knowledge.
