Review on chitkara University Himachal Pradesh

Overall the college is well placed in an area away from the hustle bustle of the city. The experience in the college is nice with good weather nice facilities and less crowd. The only thing that I doesn't like is the in and out time as some day scholars of nearby areas those who have their last lectures free can't go home early. They have to wait until the last lecture is over. Rest the college is very good.

Course curriculum is good, not so stressful. 1st year consist of a bit advanced subjects from your 12th. 2nd year subject starts focussing on coding and other subjects such as Linux, OS, DBMS and the intensity keeps on increasing year by year. As for the labs, tey are less in 1st year(2 per week ) but of second year it gets to nearly 5 per week( as subjects are mostly coding). As of exam structure, each subject has 4 fa's 20 marks each (best of thouree for consideration), 3 sessional tests each of 40Marks (best of two for consideration ) and a final examination (60M).

Many companies come for placement offers like Infosys, quick heal, flipkart, Amazon, oyo, code quotient and many more. The packages ranges from 3 lpa to upto 32 lpa from top companies like Amazon. As for the stipend I don't know much.

Our campus frequently conducts workshops, fests(Algorythm) to give students a break from the regular schedule. Other than that our college celebrates nearly every holiday like holi, diwali, lohouri along with some hostel events.Also, the college also organises some inter college events and athletic meets.

The fee structure as for B.E.- CSE is as follows- Tution fee(6 Months)-RS.70000. Hostel fee(6 Months)-RS.21000-33000. Hostel fee may vary depending on facilities. Bus fee(6 Months )- Rs12000-30000. Bus fee may vary depending on the distance.

Our college offers sibling concession ie- if you have a brother or a sister or both and are studying in the same campus, the student will get a concession in their tution fees. Other than that consession is given to the meritious students each semester.

The labs are well maintained and spacious accomodating nearly 70 students per lab. There are many labs in our campus from computer labs, electronics labs to fluid dynamics lab and physics labs.the sports room is also very spacious with space for two badminton courts, 4 table tennis courts, 2 pool tables. They also have a gym in the same area. Other than that the campus has a wide open ground for football, cricket and running.they also have a basketball court, lawn tennis court and a volleyball court.

The seniors are very cooperative and friendly. They sometimes teach us new things and help us when we're stuck in some situation. They guide us on how to study for future subjects and which topics to prepare hile exams are near. All you have to do is just ask them.our college aso have an alumni panel for ex chitkarians.

Admission in the college is based upon the percentage you get in your 12th (minimum 70% for general and 60% for SC and ST ) with the student appeared for JEE mains (no cutoff).I chose CSE due to my interest in computer languages and how things work in it.

The faculty is well educated with keen interest in the subject they teach. They teach in a way that each subject seems interesting and light.The faculty is also available for students if needed in their free time. Students can easily go and ask for their doubts after lecture on in free time.
