Remarks

Positive remarks are that it in central location. Hospital had a very high patient load. So very good experience can be obtained here. Negative that it is very expensive like every other private medical college

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is pretty hectic as it is mbbs. But that is the same with every mbbs student. Rather in government colleges it is even more hectic. And ragging environment also exists over there. Since I am in first year, there is not much focus on research during this duration. But teachers do encourage seniors to participate in such works

Placement Experience

3.5

Yes. College provides internship. We have associated hospital with the college stipend received is 10,000 per month excluding hostel charges. With hostel it is 5000 per month. Internship is compulsory whether from this or other hospital but in other hospital, stipend won’t be given

College Events

3.5

Cultural week is conducted every year. Sports week is conducted every year. There is an annual fest chiasma which takes place wherein everybody participate in different tasks like fashion show, rangoli making, dance, music, etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

Of course in private medical colleges fees structure is always very high. It costs a lot. My parents have managed to send me here through their hard earned money. There are many rich people here. People with state domicile pay 17 lakh per year less than those From other states

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships for people who are under some financial stress. Since people coming to private medical colleges come from good families with sustained or a good financial status so this is just a formality scholarship. Otherwise no such scholarship that I know of.

Campus Life

4

Sports week is conducted every year in our college. It takes place for around 10 days. Only few classes take place during this week. The matches are conducted between different matches and trophies are provided for the same. Participation certificate is also provided, it is a good refreshment.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

First year rooms are pretty average. We have a sharing for 2 members. You get to choose your room mate. They can change after every year if you opt to. 2 single beds, table, chairs are provided apart from storage which has division.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes pretty helpful seniors. Alumni is also very knowledgeable. Though I haven’t had much interaction with them but they seem pretty helpful. My seniors had a positive experience with the alumni. Seniors here Mark important topics provide their papers. Some are bad also.

Admission

Good OPD, location is in central city, good city to live in, relatives are nearby, many people suggested, out of the options I had, this one seemed most suitable. One senior is also here that I know.

Faculty

4

They are highly qualified even from top government colleges but many of them lack communication in lectures. They are quite knowledgeable but not very good in expression. Very few are from private medical colleges. Experienced teachers are either very arrogant or the best here

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course from this college due to its hospital. It is one of the best hospitals in uttrakhand. MBBS itself carry an important meaning in once life if they have decided to be a doctor. MBBS teachings here is only done to keep you ready for the real worlds. Case discussions are a regular thing here. Total there are 19 subjects that need to be studied within 4.5 years. Few subjects like PSM, AETCOM module should be scrapped completely. They only waste your time as maximum contents they cover are covered in other subjects and few left could be covered separately. It goes on for 3 years with unnecessary postings and practical where you discuss house dimensions, nutrition, etc.

-Specific aspects is the pattern of exams, that was MCQs pattern and now it has been changed to 50% MCQs and 50% theory. -Curriculum is prepared in the view of clinical knowledge, there are seminars and other group discussion is also added in curriculum apart from classes - The teaching methods should be changed from PPT to ppt + black board, because it's very boring to stare on ppt for an hour - we have to pass 4 exams in one year Mid terminal exam in the end of 3rd month of academic year End terminal exam in the end of 6th month of academic year And two professional exams at the end of the academic year Exams are not difficult, the difficulty level is moderate
