Remarks

You would get great exposure and placements are the eye catcher in this institute. There is no gender bias. There is no bias on race or religion either. The rules are quite strict compared to that of our Vellore campus but better compared to that of other Chennai colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Curriculum is free yet really helpful. We have good lab facilities. We have a ffcs system. Fully flexible credit system. This way we get too chose our classes, timings and professors. We have three exams. Two for 50 marks and one main exam for 100marks.

Placement Experience

5

There are a lot of companies that come for placements. Placements are the best part of vit Chennai. You get both internships as well as placements. The placements are divided into three categories, dream, super dream and normal packages. Differs according to package provided.

College Events

4.5

We have no main events hosted by the college. A techinal and a non techhnical fest. The technical fest is called the TECHNOVIT and is held in every odd semester. The non technical event is called the VIBRANCE and it is held in every even semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It depends upon merit. You get it on merit you get to pay 1, 00, 00 per annum. It increases with decrease in merrit. It extends will 5, 00, 000per annum. All of btech will have the same price. It does not differ from course to course.

Fees and Financial Aid

No idea, I haven't availed any sort of good scholarship or loan facility. But I guess the first 10rankers of the VIT exam - VITEEE get to study with 50% scholarship. Or so I have heard. I havnt heard of any good loans.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is almost equal in all branches and that included mechanical aswell. The boys to girls ratio in mechanical stream is also euqal unlike most colleges in chennai. Student diversity is amazing. There are a lot of NRI 's - non Indian residents. People of all race, religion, gender and sexual orientation are treated equally.

Alumni/Alumna

Well, seniors are helpful if you approach them. There is a strict no ragging policy so you don't have to worry about that. I haven't met any alumni as of yet. But all seniors are super helpful inspite of the fact that theyare total strangers.

Admission

I wrote my CBSE exam, I got a 95%, I applied for the mtech integrated course online, uploaded all my documents and then we had a councelling date. During councelling I chose the campus. I got in because of my grades.

Faculty

3

The facilities are really helpful. Atleast most of them are. A few faculties just teach for the sake of teaching and donnot really know what they are teaching. That is really annoying sometimes because they never solve your doubts.
