Remarks

VIT as a whole has its ups and downs but comparing it to other Colleges I'd say I made a fair choice. The place is a gem and I'm so lucky to be a part of such a prestigious institution. They help us with all our mental difficulties and even prevent us from feeling stressed out. It's an amazing place to be in and I feel so lucky to be alive here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It's more technologically advanced. They give us notes online and links to videos that explain the notes. We have the freedom to choose which paper we want to study and this encourages more innovative thinkers which is exactly what this generation needs. The exam structure is simple. There are 6 assessments which range from the choice of the faculty taking the paper. The faculty may choose to keep 6 exams or 6 debates or 6 moot court competitions. And then there's a final assessment test which tests our knowledge and skills for what we learned the whole year.

Placement Experience

4

The university had started the law school just 6 years ago and it's surprising to say that some of our seniors got placed in top tier firms. The College also takes special efforts to give us soft skills necessary to develop enough talent and confidence. When it comes to stipends it's very hard for a law student to gain an internship where he can earn and experience at the same time. The competition is very high but there are firms that offer us stipends but work us for double the amount.

College Events

4.5

There's a mega cultural event called Vibrance that takes place in the second half of the academic year Before that, we have a technical fest where we compete with other schools to show our individual importance in the future. There are plenty of sports fests that happen at our College. And soon the law school as well as organizing one special fest exclusive to law students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is slightly on the expensive side. But I'd say it's worth the money. The fee ranges from 1.4 -1.8 lacs per year. Depending on the number of students joining per year they set an average amount so as to accumulate the equipment and smart classrooms needed for the smooth running of the university.

Fees and Financial Aid

The students in the top 10 ranks receive scholarships that cover their entire education and even earn money periodically. There are enough scholarships and investments made on human resources that help students to overcome financial disadvantages.

Campus Life

5

When it comes to sports the College has its problems. There is a slight divide between the north Indian and south Indian crowds. The College however does try to overcome it by conducting chemistry building exercises. The equipment provided is top quality and the ECA clubs are finessed so well that the club presidents can run their own companies and still succeed in life.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is pure bliss. My seniors were so friendly to me. We even have a no ragging policy which helps us communicate with the seniors better. There is no barrier between us and treat everyone the same irrespective of age. The alumni network helps with gaining internships for future alumni as well.

Admission

So I was struggling to keep up with the CLAT curriculum and ended up scoring very low marks. The next thing I know is that there's a law school in VIT which just started but had a positive attitude with relation to education. I decided to try it out and went for the interview. They asked me a buttload of questions ranging from my name to what the definition of various legal maxims is. I got through and I was placed at rank 9 when the scores came out.

Faculty

4

The majority of the faculties met at my College are friendly. Of course, there are exceptions. Some may not have the skills to control the class but irrespective of that all of them have enough experience to handle the advert situation of simplifying the subject and letting us know first hand how the legal world actually works.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
