Guru Ghasidas University- A Central Univerisity

Our university overall is a very good institution among every college in our state chhattisgarh. The college management is in very good hands and is being managed very efficiently. Our university lacks good infrastructure. Lastly, despite not good infrastructure, our college manages to give best in their performances.

The course is fair enough but is not research driven. The course we followed was according to old syllabus of UGC, which is not practically helpful as per my thinking. But, yes no doubt every subject in each semester/year was important for one or more aspects of the life, we never knew what thing will help us at which time. The exam structure is very fair enough for the students and thats the plus point. There are internal marks which include attendence marks, unit test marks and assignements marks of overall 40 marks and semester of 60 marks.

No, our college does not provide placement specially our course that is Bachelors of commerce(Honours).

There are numerous functions which are celebrated in our university. We celebrate basically annual function and convocation ceremony at very big scale, where big names also participate as chief guest like President of India, Education Minister of India and many more. Apart form such celebrations, every department celebrated their own fest like commerce department celebrated Bud-e etc Apart from such programmes, we celebrate many other religious, cultural and regional festivals

It is very feasible. The fee structure in our university can be borne by any class of society. Earlier our university accepted offline mode for payment but now it is wholly a online process. And there is great transparency about the fee structure and student know each and everything about his fees allocation.

The are various type of scholarships available in our university like Minority scholarship, UGC scholarship, Single girl child scholarhship, cast scholarship, etc. The elgibility criteria differs as per the the scholarship and the requirements suggested by the concerned department of government. I did not applied for schoalarship.

There is great equality among boys and girls in terms of gender ratio. The gender ratio may be approx 980 girls per thousand boys.There are various great ethinic culture. And most importantly there is no ragging in the university. The university keep special note that any child is not affected by ragging or other stuffs. The economics status of the students in our university is moderate, some comes from very weak family, some middle class and some upper class but there is no difference among the students and everyone lives with harmony.

Seniors students are very helpful to the juniors. They help them as their small brother and sisters. They help a lot in study by providing notes, books and other requires stuffs. They encourages to participate in various programmes to show our talent.

I passed my class xii with 87.6% through Loyola School, Bilaspur. Then i submitted the GGU VET(Vishwavidyalaya Entrance Test) form for B.com(Honours) and got my name on the merit list. Then, there was a counselling session for the unreserved and reserved category respectively. On attending the counselling and through submission of required documents, i got admission. Now i have done my graduation and currently pursuing M.com from the same institute.

In 3 year graduation degree of my college, we were taught by atleast 14-16 teachers which shows that there was great number of faculties. And average age of all the teachers would be around 45 somewhat. All the teachers from the first semester till the last semester possess a great quality and quantity of knowledge. Their techniques, communication skills, disciplines and timeliness is that which all teachers should possess.
