Remarks

Fee is very high. Rules are very strict. College is not worth the fees. Lecturers give marks to those to impress them and dont give the others who work hard. Gates are closed for the whole time period.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Labs are very disappointing as we always get errors in coding exams and the marks awarded are high for those.the exam structure:-40 marks internal and 60 marks are for sem exam.lab marks structure:-60 marks record and 40 marsk for exam.

Placement Experience

3

Placements in my college are the worst and they donot provide any internship also. You have to search the web for internships and the college doesnot give any support.college staff thinks there are few who are working hard and many who dont work at all so they just concentrate on those few people.i.e200-300 students get job out of 1600.

College Events

3.5

Pramana is the biggest event in my college and many take part in this. There are many more activities but many dont take part as ots waste of time and money and we dont get attendence for that also. The pass costs around 1000/-for each workshop and the event is not worth it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its very expensive. My fee is 247500/- per annum and the bus fee is 51000/- per annum. The bus fee get increased by 2500 every year.My juniors told me that their college fee is 25000 more than mine.so every new batch has ro pay more 25000 than the previous batch.

Fees and Financial Aid

Gitam doesnt provide any loan or scholarship.I have heard that if the annual income of a child's parent is less than 1 lakh then they decrease the fee. This is also a time taking process as they dont just easily give admission to anyone easily.

Campus Life

4

Women are very less than men.yes there are parties, sports fests etc. They all are good and if you have little talent you can get selected. There is no discrimination as many are educated and dont tolerate discrimination.

Alumni/Alumna

They actually tell getting a job is easy but they themselves dont get a job.Working alone can help you get success sometimes and that is during the placement period.Gitam does tell that it gives everyone job but the truth is that many are still unemployed in my college.

Admission

I chose cse stream.I wanted to choose ece but as many of my friends have chosen cse i also chose that itself. There is no merit list in Gitam. If you have money to pay the fees just go to the counselling and pay the fee.they will give you seat without even completely checking your previous marks list.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty gives marks only to those who impress them or who spend time with them.Students are always seen spreading butter with the teacher.I am not that kind of student so even if i work hard i dont get good grades.Teachers are not really interested in teaching they just come to teach us for their salary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
