Remarks

The college is a good one. The teaching staffs are good though some are not satisfying. Auditorium, hostel and some other facilities are poor. But the college is ready to be a university. Hopefully, the infrastructures will get improved.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This is a five and half years course including a one-year internship. The last year of the course is for internship. The exam pattern is internals and external based. There are 3 internal exams a year followed by a final external exam. Among the three internal exams, grades of the best two are to be added with the final grade of the external exam. And yes the days become hectic among the classes, practicals, and games.

Placement Experience

3

Yes, the college provides internships. It's in the final year of college. This provides a temporary license for treatment so the students can do practice for the upcoming years. The job opportunities are limited. So the students prefer to join banking and administrative services after graduation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Different types of payment systems are in the college. There are some free seats with minimal expenses. There are some paid seats also. A few students are admitted under the sponsorship of some NRI persons. There are also exam fees, hostel charges, study tours, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

No such scholarship is available that can manage the student's cost. The amount of scholarship is very less. The scholarship is based on the mark and caste system. The lower caste members are given scholarship even if it is not needed. But some needy students can't get it.

Campus Life

2

The gender ratio in almost every class is 55-45. But when it comes to extracurricular activities the ratio decrease to 80-20. But in each field, the girls are given equal chances. It's they themselves who don't use the opportunity.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facility is very poor. The rooms are sharing among 3 to 4 students. The roommates are also of different years which makes it uneasy for the junior to enjoy the hostel life. The rooms are in dilapidated condition as the infrastructure is quite old. The food is given 2 times a day and the quality is good.

Alumni/Alumna

Maximum seniors are quite humble and helpful towards the juniors. They help the juniors in study, sports, co-curricular activity. But some seniors are not quite friendly and they prefer not to interact with juniors.

Admission

The entrance exam was organized on basis of higher secondary courses and general references. The rank was calculated according to carrier marking and entrance mark. The students were given the streams according to the rank under different colleges of the university.

Faculty

3.5

Each department has a number of five to six teachers to teach. The course is divided among them according to their subject of specialization. The practicals are done and taught to the students by them in a systematic manner. But now the practicals are a bit difficult to observe as the specimen are old and the government has banned slaughter and dissection.

The passed students are posted in the veterinary dispensaries as VAS . Previous year 95% of students were posted. Students can also go for pg in the college. Provision of stipend is there for pg students which is ?10000.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is vast and exhaustive(5.5 years) out of which 4 yrs are for studies and 1 year for rotating internship. It is one of the safe and good option for students looking as back-up for neet exam.U will find many similarities with human body. Additionally, u will get dr designation at the end of curriculum.. So overall a good course to pursue. Veterinary science is not as prominent as medical sciences in the country..Yet it is gaining importance nowadays. Its importance is growing rapidly.
