Remarks

Most of the reviews are positive as the college has a very large alumini network and has been one of the best for the past so many years and is still achieving great success in almost all the fields be it research or placements or extra curricular.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is updated regularly and is mostly in accordance with the latest trends in the industry except a few courses where it seems outdated due to heavy advancements which is too difficult to teach at this level. Course structure is both theoretical and almost most of the courses have practical labs sessions and assignments. Also there is a compulsory open book component in all the courses. Exam structure varies from course to course and the instructor has the freedom to decide it mostly being a Mid Semester exam and a Final comprehensive exam. With a good weightage to regular quizzes and lab sessions as well.

Placement Experience

5

Placements and Jobs Are at par with the Top 5 IIT in India. This is a place where it competes nicely with the best colleges. Also it provides a compulsary summer internship after 2nd year and a semester long Internship in the final year. There are also Internship opportunities if you clear the interviews of the companies for summers after 3rd year. This is a field where the campus puts a very good amount of effort

College Events

4.5

There are 3 major fests in the college. Waves which is the cultural fest. Quark being the Techinal fest and Spree being the Sports fest. These are completely organized by the students and are in competition with the best college fests of the country. The level of artists is insane with both international and Indian artists performing. Also there is also a annual TedX event during Jan-Feb every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a private institution the fee structure is expensive. The fees are around 1.5-2L per semester which is very high but being a Tier1 Institute the loans are easily available for the complete degree which somewhat manage the expensive fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are offered on merit where the top percent of students get scholarship ranging from 25-100% depending on the performance. the second type of scholarship is merit-cum-need where the students with family income below a certain value are eligible for it. This ranges from 24-80% and is offered to a larger portion of the students.

Campus Life

4

Extracurricular activities are good. There is a good amount of focus on sports and extra curricular activities. There are various clubs and department for the same. Also there is sports team for almost all the sports and proper equipment and training is offered for all the sports.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The only option available is Hostels. Day scholars are not allowed in the college. And there are In time for the college etc. Average rental is around ?15-20k for the entire semester which is quite reasonable and the rooms are single occupancy

Alumni/Alumna

There is a very very large alumni network since the Pilani campus has been in existence for the past 70 years and most of the people are now at a very good post in their respective fields. Most of them moved abroad for their business and work. Senior and junior relationship is something everyone in the college is proud of and everyone trying there level best to maintain it.

Admission

I had an AIR of 2000 in Jee Advanced which made me eligible to the top IIT's but not for Computer Science in any of the top 5 IITs. I had an option of pursing B. E. Computer Science in BITS Pilani and I chose this following my interest In computers and not the IIT tag which most people follow.

Faculty

3

Faculty of the college is good and keeps shiftimg and changing among all the 3 campuses from time to time. Also almost every semester 2-3 new faculty join in the CS department. Most of the faculty do have a good research and teaching experience

I have no clue but the highest placements are in Computer and IT branches. Civil has probably the least placement. The quality is good thanks to IIT and NIT being in the same campus thus the big companies that come to those colleges also come to our colleges but they prefer those students more because NIT and IIT are more prestigious colleges.
