About My college

Finally i conclude by saying thanks to my college. Because they structured me a good disciplined professional. I paid less as a fee but gained more knowledge and experience.

We have 10 semesters which is 2 semesters per year and a credit-based system. 25 credits per semester and a total of 250 credits to be completed. The curriculum has all the courses related to our core subjects as well as elective subjects. The courses in the curriculum provide the core knowledge of our domain and industry-specific knowledge which is helpful for on-campus placements. During our on-campus placements, we study or revise only our curriculum courses which are more than enough to prepare and get placed in a fast-growing High energy company. For each and every subject in our each and every semester, we have industrial visits as well as guest lectures by industrial professionals. The industrial visits are organized for students to obtain practical knowledge and the guest lectures help us to gain theoretical knowledge.

From my perspective,my college fee is feasible.The fee structure varies for different courses. My program fee has 3 categories according to the merit marks obtained in higher school education. Like 1 lakh, 1.5 lakhs and 2 lakhs.The mode of payment for fee is Demand Draft.The demand draft is a negotiable instrument similar to a bill of exchange. There is no additional fees or charges to be paid than the yearly tution fee. Incase if we have backlog for any semester we need to re-register through online and pay via online payment method. The college provide the detailed receipt for every payment.

The college offers many scholarship opportunities for poor students or who are not able to pay a high fee. There are some guidelines or terms for those scholarship for needy people. There are some other Scholarship for Highly talented students where students who achieved the top positions in VITEE exams ( entrance exam) are provided with free seats for the courses.

The campus life is fantastic where are set free to work and study. Usually a group of friends contains both boys and girls so no ragging or some undisciplinary activities can be seen. There are many workshops regularly conducted by many departments some are free of cost and some are paid. These workshops are informed us by mails. Since we all are belong to same country we don't separate ourselves by any caste or religion. We follow all cultural activities. No racism or religious flights between our students. The management teaches us good discipline in order to obey all religion and community. There is no sexual teasing between the students or any political conversation or fights among us. We all United to learn discipline. Though our economic status vary for all we all share the discipline and all to make peace and friendship.

No i am Dayscholar. My native is the same place where my college located. So i go college from my home everyday. But I know some of my hostel friends. The hostel rooms are alloted by CGPA of the students where AC or NON AC can be afforded. They have single room, two or three or four or six sharing a single room.

I always ask my doubts to my seniors where they gained more experience than me. Whatever it may be whether a subject doubt or life issues. My college seniors are very interactive and helpful by guiding us to correct path or destination while we are deviated in a wrong way. Obviously my seniors and alumni are helpful to me.

Basically, I am interested in learning stuff about computers. Though I chose Biology as my main subject in higher education. I love to learn about computer science. So I chose this M.Tech Software Engineering. Now why I chose this VELLORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. Here are some points 1) The infrastructure they have is very fantastic which keeps me refreshing and motivated every day. 2) Teaching professionals who make me feel comfortable to learn more. 3) The Surrounding and the classmates where I met different people from different countries. 4) The practical knowledge about each and every topic in my curriculum. 5) The projects we are doing for every subject give me a clear understanding of concepts. Now the steps of admission procedure 1) At first I applied for three courses but I chose only one in this same University through an application form which was offered a month after the 12th exams get over. 2) They allotted date and called me for counseling. 3) Punctually I attended the Counseling where the higher officials asked me some technical questions. 4) After two or three weeks I received a mail that I approved for the selected course. 5) After three months the college started with orientation program and i am provided with my unique registration number.

Each course have certain study hours. We learn more than those specified hours. The faculties in my college variey by age and qualifications. Some are average age and some are little elder but professionals. But every faculty is clear with their core domain and they are friendly to the students in order to make us comfortable. The Clarity lectures from our faculties helpa us to make clear understanding of the concepts. Most of the faculties teach the practical knowledge stuffs where the lectures hold the relevant industry experiences.
